Diablo Immoral? Everyone knew it would be bad, the memes from its concept reveal are legendary. "Do you guys not have phones?" "Is this some kind of out-of-season April Fool's joke?" Now, I haven't been willing to touch the game with a 20-foot rusty halberd, but from what I hear the game underneath everything is passable, but the sheer depth of the microtransactions is absolutely mind-boggling. Like, I play gacha games, and some of them have been particularly awful with their rates as well as time/money required to get useable equipment and/or progress. But nothing even comes close to the level of disgusting, predatory practices as I've seen reported about Diablo Immoral. It can cost upwards of $110,000 to max out a single character, which is absolutely absurd. Even dedicated Diablo information sites run by the fandom shut down their coverage of the game because they were disgusted by how immoral the microtransaction system was. Turns out the developers were even more evil than the very demon the franchise is named for.

Before you say name an example off a game nobody asked for that turned out to be good: pokemon snap. mario party typing with the death mario+rabbids The final fantasy rhytm game (forgot its name) So yes they exist. Gollum is just not one off them

Taking pictures of pokemon is the former, playing as Gollum is the latter. Seriously, I can't believe there could be any remotely significant amount of people who, if asked, would have said "yeah, sounds great. I totally want to play as that ugly, weak, treacherous little gremlin." Even if the game was somehow good overall, the idea of playing as him would still be a fundamentally unappealing premise. Which is a heck of a lot worse than a simply "kinda out of nowhere, but who knows, give it a shot" sort of premise like typing zombies to death.

The most shocking thing for me about Fallout 76 is how much they'd messed up in the play style from Fallout 4 - it somehow felt even clunkier and more difficult to actually play, whilst they had a really good playstyle in the previous game. And for Gollum... I can't believe anyone was dumb enough to spend full retail on that at all.

@@mattalan6618 It's perfectly fine to enjoy it, everyone has had a game or two that is objectively bad or terrible that they've enjoyed playing but what it's important is to know that enjoying a game doesn't necessarily makes it good, as is the case with Saints Row. There are even people that geniunely enjoyed the new Gollum game, which while crazy, well, power to them but the issue is that they say it's a good game.

The Grand Tour I think it largely slipped under the radar. Nowhere near an A-level production and done by a small-time dev, so expectations were never exactly high. But it was so bad. You literally just watch episodes of the show, with small breaks for you to drive around for 3 minute sections of some of the worst car handling I've ever seen in a game. A game with expectations already sitting on the floor, but was actually haunting the Basement all along.

I didn't even know what Gollum was about since they show so little of it until it released. I didn't hear about The Quiet Man until Rerez reviewed it. Gollum looked better in Shadow of Mordor which was made almost a decade earlier.

We expected some mediocreness, and a handful of boring cars to be removed from in game websites… What we got was nearly 200 cars including some of the most beloved cars in the game removed from access, and some of the worst bugs in the game’s history, including one that can cost you your personal vehicle with no possibility of replacement or reimbursement.

Man, I wish The Quiet Man was good. I'm taking ASL as my required second language for graduation, so I always tend to jump on the opportunity to see something with a Deaf protagonist/major character, and yet they either A. die or become irrelevant immediately, B. they do it horribly, or C. the actual content sucks so bad that it gets forgotten or clowned on. Like you said, it could have been a big step forward. But they screwed that up horribly.

Capcom is on fire and can do no wrong right now. Still, they have tried to break into the multiplayer shooter for years and several games now. They may be amazing at single player games and remakes, but fall short every time they try their hand at multiplayer. Exoprimal is next and I don’t see it doing very well either

Exoprimal has full PVE modes and just happens to be beta testing the one mode that has PVP. Seeing as it seems to be generally good in terms of core gameplay, it's more likely that Exoprimal is going to be a good game with the beta only letting you play its worst part.

I'm not much of a stickler when it comes to video game graphics, but when I saw actual footage of someone playing the final game of "Lord of the Rings: Gollum" even I couldn't stop criticizing how AWFUL and outdated virtually EVERYTHING in the game looks (especially every single character model). I'd have to say Golem is the worst because, when you take such a marvelous franchise like LoTR and can't even make a generic yet enjoyable experience in it, that's a massive failure. At the very least fans of the Franchise should be able to simply enjoy a tale and romp through Middle Earth, but when your game is so bad not even the Middle Earth fans can enjoy it. Like how hard can you strike out

Duke Nukem Forever. I went into that game a couple years after it came out. I was expecting a shitshow, but oh my lord, I had absolutely no idea the madness that awaited me. I've felt my fair share of disappointment in my gaming career, but DNF is the only time a game has ever downright *offended* me. Every so often it has glimpses of brilliance, but they vanish almost instantly to be replaced with tedium only broken up by annoyances and pointlessly disgusting set pieces. All that said, I firmly believe that Duke Nukem Forever should- nay, MUST- be played. It is a rare example of game so bad that it must never be forgotten. Much as I wish I could get back the eight-ish hours I spent on it, my perspective on gaming is a whole lot richer and more positive for having played that mess.

The Quiet Man ~sounded~ like it might be interesting, but I ~heard~ it didn't do anything right. I think I remember an indie game with a similar-ish premise, where you play as like a blind samurai using echolocation rather than a deaf mc... but the indie game is actually good lol. The screen is basically pitch black until you hit the echolocate button, but you can get some sound indicators or something, probably? Idk I barely remember the concept. I'm not much of an indie guy. I just ~hear~ it's good. (All puns intended)
