I watch AEW. And there are some amazing moments. I just personally like WWE more currently. I think they're more consistent, they hardly miss, crowds are louder, production is better, talent seems happier I love WRESTLING and anything that helps the wrestlers make more money is a good thing to me. So I don't hate AEW, and I think that's how a majority of WWE fans feel. I think the issue is people thinking this is the attitude era and these 2 companies are actually trying to end each other, so they get tribal. But that's really just the loud minority. Majority of WWE fans just enjoy good wrestling, regardless of where it comes from

I also have to say that the opening of the prohibited portal allows for commentary to help get new signings over a bit more... Hearing Michael Cole talking about Lucha Underground , AAA, and of course TNA accomplishments by Penta made him seem like a bigger deal from the off to people who may have never heard of him or seen him... I also wonder how many Netflix viewers from years back saw him come out last night and thought "Hey, I remember seeing that guy years ago here on Netflix on Lucha Underground!"

I love the multilingual promos. I think Penta hit the perfect balance, enough English that everyone knew what he was talking about and enough Spanish that you could feel his authentic emotion. On a nerdy note, I started learning spanish a few years ago (purely for wrestling reasons) so I was excited that I could follow most of the spanish parts 😂 So it mighta made me biased

I agree, the run time for RAW was about 2 hours and 33 minutes. I watched on a delay because I had to deal with family tasks so as I was watching the last parts around Rhea's segment it came up live event end which was 10:33 pm eastern time they could have gone to 10:45 or 10:50/55

Having no cut off time for a broadcast is good and all, but my guess is there might be a cutoff for the physical production of the show. It's still a live event in an arena that provides it's own labor and that labor, not to mention Raw's own road crew, needs to get paid and if an event goes over that includes OT. That's my guess anyway. Budget and contacts with the venue.

You rent an arena for a certain amount of time. It's not just tv time that matters. They can't just go on for six hours unless they have approved it with the arena. The arena has employees who are scheduled to leave at a certain time so they need the show to end on schedule.

‪Regarding Penta's debut on Raw, January 13, 2025: We watched a practice match between Penta and Gable as the final televised version. That's the only summary that seems to address how slow and soft it all felt. Penta is famous for swift ferocity, brutal precision and a devil-may-care style. I felt none of that here. Gable seemed hesitant to pull the trigger on what he's fully capable of, too. The result was an introduction to the outside-the-ring character of Penta while missing a lot of the magic the man weaves on the mat. WWE is famous for having a safe "style" and maybe that style was the restraints that held this entire match back from being the banger it should have been. Both Penta and Gable know their stuff and then some. It's too bad they felt held back from showing us any of it. I love Penta. I hope this is good for HIM. It's just... disappointing.

Triple H even said there isn’t a running time target. Could be 30 mins.. could be 4 hours.. so no need to cut time from others . And Penta should’ve gotten all the time he needed.. it’s his debut..

I like Pat and Cole as a team. I like Corey and Cole. I think Corey should have remained on Smackdown. I would prefer him over Wade personally and that's not intended to be a knock on Wade. You know I'm with Wilbourne that Pat should be used a bit more sparingly. I had no idea who Pat was when I saw him on commentary the first time. I'm not an American sports guy. I also didn't initially like him.

Anyone else think Chad and him were really going at it in some spots? And not for the better. Like when Penta jumped out. Looked like Chad took a bit of a sidestep and didn't try to catch him. Could be wrong there, but some of those spots looked a little harder than maybe they should have. Was an awesome match. Just seemed like it was some spots that had some receipts in them. For both men. Again, was awesome, though.

roman used to take up 40 minutes of a 2 hour smack down, cody regularly takes up multiple 10+ minute segments including a 18 minute match (3 cross rhodes minimum) and the talent are upset at penta’s 15 minutes in a 3 hour raw?? this reeks of jealousy

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Penta story is true. The Dakota Kai/Lyra Valkyria match felt like it should've been longer so maybe it got trimmed a few minutes.
