John McKay is one of the most original guitarists of all time. It is fantastic to hear him along with drummer Kenny Morris. Siouxsie and the Banshees Mk1 were such an unique band

@MitchQuintana6 жыл бұрын
No, McKay is still alive. The previous commenter doesn't have a clue what's he's talking about. He must of confused later Banshees guitarist John McGeoch with McKay.

you are very confused. John McGeoch is dead. Not John McKay. And John McKay was simply brilliant in the banshees. @Atrax Morgue

Actually this documentary covers all the way up to 1995. If you count the end credits, it covers up to 1998. Speaking of the end credits, it's interesting to note that "So Dizzy" aka "Dizzy" was going to be released as part of the promotion for the 20th anniversary of "Hong Kong Garden". The song for whatever reason didn't end up getting released until 2002.

@@zenbudhism so? The Banshees, especially Siouxsie & Severin are massive fans of the Beatles, especially Revolver & what everyone refers to as The White Album, which is actually called 'The Beatles'. Robert Smith actually persuaded Siouxsie & Co to record Dear Prudence though. Love it that Marco Perroni is given a bit of time to speak. One of the best guitarists of the Punk/New Wave era. Totally underrated & no big ego.

@whatdoidonow19967 жыл бұрын
@filmover9843 Жыл бұрын
Seule comptait l’attitude : provoquer emmerder d’étonner choquer !

16:45 Johnny Rotten seems oblivious to the irony of his making fun of "fake hairdos", speaking those words from beneath gelled and bleached hair.

True. I couldn't agree more. John Lydon does patronise a lot and often thinks that only he is authentic and most others are in it for the sideshow entertainment. Just because he grew up in tough surroundings and faced a lot of prejudice probably gives him the license to get away with these statements. The media also worships him as if only he is entitled to say things that are of any worth. Anyway, just take him for what he is and don't take everything he says at face value. He is a human after all.:-)
@youjoker9647 Жыл бұрын
Lydon isn't daft. He knows how to play his part. Whatever he says, he's certainly one of the most important musicians of the last 45+ years

Raturo Moreno - Yes! Please do! The French both in France and in French Canadia, particularly on BBC Canada, were always more sensitive to the artists interests they interviewed, poignantly inquisitive, and hence yielding more candid, substantive, and informative feedback from the artists by their approach to documentary and the documentary form.
