Sorry, I'm going to comment on this video too! I spent 2 weeks with Maureen on the original pilot of "Out of this World". She was great! Very professional and sweet. Donna Pescow and Joe Alasky also were on the shoot. Lyle Waggoner was originally cast as the Mayor. They were are all fantastic to work with. There were some things about the production of the pilot that did not go well. We over-rehearsed through the weekends which was unheard of on most sitcoms. This was difficult for me because with Evie's power to freeze time, I spent most of it "frozen" while standing on one foot. The general feeling was that the show would not get picked up as a series and it was not worth keeping my contract. I left the production and my character was not replaced. The co-producer Kevin Bright (of "Friends")left, and so did Lyle Waggoner who was replaced by Doug McCLure. Ironically, the show DID get picked up. And though Out Of This World was one not the best program, I still feel like I missed out. I do regret it a little. Funny enough, my older brother Christian played "Derek Rogers" on Out Of This World a year or so later.

I didn't catch every episode but I enjoyed watching the show from time to time. I happened to be in Hollywood on the day in December of '94 when Doug McClure got his star on the Walk of Fame. Maureen and Donna were there to help celebrate and congratulate him and say a few words, along with a bunch of classic TV stars like James Drury, Robert Fuller and Ron Masak. Patrick Wayne was there as well. Doug was quite sick from cancer at the time but it was great to see him out there looking chipper and graciously accepting his honor. And apparently she socked him in the nose! Also related to "Out of This World" to practice some industrial arts skills, I built the lamp from the show. It sat on our table on the back porch for years--made a great mood light!
