I bought the same pen with the coloured flecks in it and my wife took a shine to it. It is a very nice pen with an excellent nib.

Soon I hope they will offer stub nibs along with fine and mediums. Monteverde and Twsbi are offering up some top inks these days.

I just got my first Moonman a few days ago. I got an M800, in Amber. Love the pen; hate the nib. I swapped the Moonman "F" nib for a Nemosine "M" nib and now the pen is just about perfect.

That is one beautiful material! Reminds me of some variants of granite rock that has lots of shimmering chips in the structure. I buy my ”emery boards” in a local department store, under the market name of nail files. Several grades are available.

It seems you just get offered either fine or medium nibs. Soon I hope Moonman and other Chinese manufacturers start offering stub nibs.

I have to agree that this pen’s appearance, colour, design & finish are very attractive. Quite tempting, tbh. While Moonman nibs are generally really good, 4/6 of mine are very smooth, satisfying writers, I’m beginning to be bored with the monotony of it all. This pen’s stiff, slightly ‘off’ nib out of the box is exactly what I was half expecting. It has happened to me with my M100 & M600s. Your treatment to smooth it out reminds me that I must get that crucial tool to help me maybe improve a few of the disappointing nibs of these otherwise very pretty Chinese pens. You didn’t mention the approximate price of this M8. Or did I miss it? Also, don’t know why, but your voice, for the most part in this video, sounded rather muted, almost a whisper at moments.

Is it just me or is the area of the cap below the clip somewhat less shiny and less polished than the rest of the pen?

It might just be the lighting. The polish is consistent all-around.

@@WhatIInk The polish is not consistent, slightly dull on the cap. Look at other reviews and you will see the same. I have one and the same. My silver fleck one is fine though.

I bought a Moonman m8 after watching this review. But pen is very worst. dont buy. i earlier bought Moonman C1. and C1 is very good one and i enjoy writing. But Moonman m8 is a flop product worst material and feels very cheap in hand.
