Dave, you’ve become one of my all time favorite PTX reactors. You understand and appreciate their gifts and raw talent! ❤️ I can’t seem to find if you have reacted to their cover of Gold - Pentatonix (Kiiara Cover). What a masterful cover! Make sure you watch the original first if you don’t know it (or just refresh your memory) What Mitch does with this song is mind blowing! I KNOW you will enjoy!! Thanks! ❤️

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Matt’s personality meshes much better with PTX. Don’t get me wrong, Avi is phenomenal but his vibe is more deep / serious while Matt’s is more bubbly. They’re both incredible and I’m grateful Avi gave us so many mind-blowing performances but I’m happy he’s doing what he wants and Matt picked up the mantle and ran with it ❤️

Well said! Matt is such a joyful spirit! Avi is a magnificent talent, and he was a wonderful performer within the group, but the bottom line is he needed things he couldn't have if he stayed - a lifestyle and career that just didn't fit with the group's way of working anymore. I was worried at the time, because they are so small and tight that nothing can be hidden when they perform, and even one loss could have thrown their dynamic off and changed their sound completely. Plus their appeal hasn't been solely due to their monster talents, individually, they also have a shared generosity of spirit, they are good, kind, humble people, they leave their egos at home, they mutually have a strong work ethic, they are all extremely intelligent in different ways, they are diverse but cohesive, and they put their whole self into performing - nobody phones it in. To find somebody with not just the musical talent, but also the personal characteristics and synergy with the group was astonishing the first time when three kids were born in the same friggin town within months of each other, and again when the trio first added Avi and Kevin. To make a perfect addition once again is beyond fortunate for all of us. I swear there is some sort of divine cosmic magnet intervening to bring these particular people together.

I love Avi as much as the next person, but he got even better after he left and so did PTX and now we are blessed to have a talented group and a talented solo singer....double the music!

I love that you hear and appreciate the intricacies of their arrangements! I also love that you don't just hear Mitch's high notes but actually appreciate the technique behind his singing. Many people can sing high, but very few have his vocal control. His placement choices and register transitions are phenomenal. The way he masters his craft is often overlooked for the sheer astonishment of hearing a man sing counter tenor, which is understandable but a pity. Thanks very much for your reaction, pleasure as always! I think you'd very much enjoy their Carol Of The Bells - to this day one of the greatest arrangements they've done ever.
@2436golden2 жыл бұрын
Exactly, It's not just the beautiful high notes it's the mastery behind the notes and what he does with them.

One of the many reasons I love Pentatonix so much is because in whatever they do it's intentional. If you watch any of their videos like "say something" or "evolution of music" the things they do are intentional to the minor details that many don't notice. I love them to death they are amazing. Going back from the Sing off to now and their talents, it's only gotten better. Their vocal abilities have just grown stronger over the years.

If you want to know more about Matt please watch the intro to Matt Sallee. You don't have to do a reaction (you can just watch it on your own) but it really gives you a full picture bc his dream was always to be in PTX and who would have ever thought that would happen?? Also, the members talk about him and how much joy he exudes and his work ethic too.

I totally agree with the others who have identified you as their favourite PTX reactor. You bring an appreciation for the subtleties that many other reactors miss. I know that you've reacted to Superfruit's Beyonce medley. However, it may be good timing to do a reaction to Superfruit's ANTI medley (Rihanna cover). It and their Empire medley are probably two of my faves.

The amazing thing to me about these "evolution" videos is that they are filmed live, in one take. They are group miked, meaning they have few post tricks they can do to fix bad audio. In essence it's as close to a true live performance you can get in a video. And they slay it!

It was amazing live too!

My dad got cancer and passed away about a month and a half ago so I couldn't really watch reactions for a while when he was sick and now I'm slowly getting back to one of my favorite pastimes. Your admiration of even the tiny things they do is wonderful!! I implore you to please search for and watch intro to Matt Sallee. You will find out that he was pretty much destined to be in this group. I love love love him!! Mitch of course is my favorite but Matt is a close second but I love them all!! You can watch the intro to Matt sallee on your own time or react to it either one, but either way please please watch it.

It's not my favourite genre at all. Pentatonix has singers that I'd probably like better in solo projects; together, they just don't do it for me. Once again, though, I watched the entire video just because I love your reactions. I doubt seriously that I'd ever search for a Pentatonix song, though. For those that do like them, that's great; I'm truly happy for you. For me, they just don't do it.
