This was quite interesting. Using/abusing elephants for our own use & pleasure: Elephants in Wartime: World War I -- elephants were used to move heavy artillery. World War II -- the Japanese used elephants quite a bit to carry supplies deep into jungles to surprise allied forces. Elephants & the Circus: the maintenance & training of circus elephants involves emotional and physical abuse. And photos, taken by former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus trainer Sam Haddock, show the brutal process of preparing elephants for the circus. The same is true for all circus animals. This is why animal organizations such as ADI & Four Paws began yrs. ago & continue to this day to go around the world shutting down circuses & the people who continue to exploit & abuse wild animals.
