Could the decline on the Pygmies simple come from neglect? They are phoenix species, but at the same time ideally they show get a ton of water and fertilizer. These usually live by riverbeds in Asia.

I live in lower part of sc closer to mid but the lower half of the half way point and are state tree the palmetto palm tree and we got a ton down around charolston sc Myrtle beach all up and down the coast everywhere but the mountains but if your in sc and looking for a good tree to take winters and your closer to the mountains get a windmeal palm and i probably missed spelled the heck out of that but close enough 😂
