I hope he brings in one of the big mod map makers to help finish the main map. It had fun spots, but there was a lot of wasted space that would benefit greatly from some better environmental detail/texture work and obstacles. Lots of long stretches of empty concrete.

Personally i dont care at all about having other vehicles in the game. With the new direction and amount of work ahead it seems like a waste of time and energy that could be put towards the actual biking and physics. Overall it seems like a good pivot though and i hope the end product is even better than the current public version. What are the chances this build turns into bmx streets 2 and is a whole new game?

It's actually the inverse. When you let the physics do what it wants instead of using constraints, and setting positions instead of letting the physics resolve the movements you get a lot less or no bugs.

I forgot bout this game tbh. I just hope they don’t go the way other games have and limit the console version as opposed to the pc in regards to mods and ability to customize stats. When and if it does release on console I think I will wait even longer to pick it up to see if such limitations will be put in place.

Hard to say what this will do without seeing tricks on the bike. BUT, wow so much better the tricks look when the rider isent riding bow legged anymore. Looks soo much cleaner! So with that added plus better physics it could get wild !! (Regarding your last videos) edit2, not bow legged plus hunching over, looks wayy better vs how he standed before

honestly, rebuild is smart, its extremely limited in its current state, never did i think riders republic would feel more comfortable, pipe almost has a better feel. If it gets released as is for console then itll be a tidal wave of negative reviews. the flow just doesnt exist at the moment

That would be completely unacceptable because he already got our money for the first game and didnt do shit with the first game, then made the second game which look im fine with he got funding with the first game to make the second game, but now we have an even better building foundation with bmx streets so if he abandons this game as well and tries to sell yet another bmx game its game over for them in my opinion i dont see anybody buying it if that ever happens but i dont think thatll be the case at all.

i love the game and appreciate mashs work but i still don't understand why he's workin on this weird stuff lately, i mean its kinda cool to have a tramp bike and stuff like that but aren't there other things that would be more important to work on first? for example bikes are not saving, almost everytime i close the game my bike builds are just gone. in my opinion fixing things like that would be more important than working on cranes or skateboards 🤔for me those are things you could add when everything else is done. the few updates he dropped the days after release were really good and brought changes that made sense also i wonder if there are people that care about the parkour stuff he's also working on at the moment, i personally have around 270 of actual playtime and i never used that climbing stuff 😆 but maybe thats just me

the tramp bike is so he can quickly fix all the trick animations so the hands are on the bars and feet are on the pedals etc. It's also so he can make changes to the spinning and flip system, put them onto the dev build & let people try it and give feedback, then he can make tweaks and repeat the process. It's a quick turn around testing environment, he's not just messing around roleplaying bob the builder.

@@MathieuDublanc1 It's not a beta though, it has some bugs and issues like every single other game released but its far from a beta. The guy released the game, got a bunch of feedback about things people don't like so he addresses them and starts rebuilding the physics system because some of the issues were unfixable with the system he previously had. People are literally complaining because the dev is fixing issues and improving the gameplay experience before going to consoles. It's actually crazy, the dude is working his arse off.

This honestly just proves that this game should have never been released in its current state. Pretty sad that we all had to pay $35 (some people more than $35) for the game. The modding community has done more for this game since launch than the dev. And saying that he relies on the console release is crazy considering all he got from PC purchases.

Mod maps are great and same with the custom clothing but it’s all nothing without the game, the mods have not done more than the developer that’s just silly… if they did more we would have another bmx game to play. They didn’t make much money at all off pc, when you factor in all the returns and business expenses they haven’t got much leftover 🤷‍♂️
