I've been known to consume some dry Taster's Nasty, or the like, while climbing up mountains with a pre-dawn start. Not a fun thing to do, but it keeps the headaches away! (I've since realized that some NoDoze does the same thing, and goes down a little easier.)

Nice setup and good job on the what's in your bag tag, woods. I like your little wood stove, although it would be banned in my area now because of high fire danger. All stoves must have an on/off valve. I'm sure your pack will be much lighter after doing this video because half your stuff will be lost in the tall grass. Don't forget your spork!

LOL....I did in fact forget the Spork!!...GreyJay picked it up and handed it to me as we were leaving!!!! I got everything else...at least i think i did!!!...thanks for watching brother Tom...woods

I like my lk35, i need to try the waste pack on top like yours. I have one but haven't used it like this. My lk35 is canvas and looks well used. The one I got for my son is more of a denier material and is brand new. Thanks the show n tell my friend.

Awesome... I've been wanting to see if you did more mods to your LK35... I put a hip belt and Alice pack straps on mine

Carolina Chris Outdoors so when are you going to do that tag for the Ranger you know he tagged you 2
@MTwoodsrunner6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris...not really any changes other than the Molle ll shoulder straps...i used the original straps at first but after eight days backpacking with them they really began to dig into my shoulders...with the present setup i managed 30 lbs over twenty miles without a lot of discomfort....its one of my favorite bags...atb...woods

Good stuff. I used to run a belt and different straps on my lk35 but switched back to the original set recently.

TurtleWolf Pack -Hey Turtle, why did you switch 'em back to the original ones? I just fixed mine up like Woods' a month ago.
@turtlewolfpack60616 жыл бұрын
Carolina Chris Outdoors mostly because for 30lbs or less that I generally carry in a ruck it was over kill. I was using Canadian Pattern 82 ruck straps and an ALICE belt. Now those are on a MOLLE 2 frame along with a Canadian Pattern 82 ruck body for heavier loads. I also have an old Canadian pack board from the 1950s if I want to go really silly with weight and for some reason cant pull a pulk/toboggan/travois or such.

MTwoodsrunner I really like mine, a decent size, durable, versatile and narrow so it is less likely to hang up when busting trail. The Norwegian Telemark is another classic favorite but it is a bit wider and requires a bit more thought.
