I like how you honored you old horse by resurrecting the old bronco. Thought I'd stop in and get a dose of Montana. I still day dream of it. It's a little much for the Mrs. though. Good job on your climb! I thought it was pretty awesome. Miss seeing ya around, and stopping by on me. Hope you're well. Will stop in and check out some of the older ones I have missed. Best to ya Woods!

Howdy John...thanks for watching amigo...this is my last year bagging peaks so i thought i'd get as many done as possible...i'm turning 65 and after injuring my right knee last year, promised the wife i'd quit my mountain goating! I'll still get in my hikes, just not running up n down mountains anymore...taking a week backpacking in the Winds this summer will probably make it difficult for me to achieve twenty peaks by October, but i'll give it a shot. Hoping all is well with you my friend...many Blessings!...Dave

A good climb! Well done, it's a beauty! A real alpine experience after a nice drive. Hey, do i spot some Meindel Perfects there? You must be the only one in the US with a pair of those!!

While i in fact do own a pair of leather Meindel Perfects...these are a pair of Danner Mtn Lites...i love my Meindels, but they are now retired, i don't have the buck and a half my local guy wants to resole them...thanks for watching and commenting...taker easy amigo...woods

MTwoodsrunner yeah they cost some. I got a pair still lying idle.. my knees can't cope with the weight anymore.. size 42 Europe. You can have them but i bet the shipping cost would be horrendous

Great accomplishment as usual. What a way to celebrate Independence Day. Sounds like you have a fun trip coming up in the 'Winds' of Wyoming. I'm guessing you might run into more snow there than you saw on this one? Are you bagging any peaks there that you can count towards the 20? I'm always curious about the mileage and elevation gain that you hike to get to these peaks. Well done, you are a true mountain man.

I don't believe the winds got the snow pac we did this year, but, that said, whenever i hike the winds i always encounter the white stuff...not sure if i'll bag any peaks on this trip, super Dave will be trying to squeeze twenty mile days out of me i'm sure, so not a lot of wiggle room for these old bones. Depending on the trailhead...4 to 6 k elevation gain on most these peaks around here...the bigger issue is the longer hikes there and back, most of these peaks are without names, others are pretty remote having no trails and that makes it a bit tougher all around, right now i'm knocking off some of the better known ones....thanks for watching brother Tom...woods

MTwoodsrunner Thanks for the response to my questions. When you get into the 6000' elevation gains you are a serious day hiker. I know what you mean about the approach to some of the mountains. We run into the same thing quite often...half worn out before we get to the climb. We bought a small motorcycle to help us get to some of the remote trail heads and save the wear on our vehicle. Stay safe on #7 brother.
