Great video! I ordered a hyacinth red C43 estate at end of March, build in July and delivery to dealer expected late August. So I will collect it early September. It will have premium plus pack and performance exhaust. I cannot wait!

Mine is on order in selinite grey metallic, premium package, technology, exhaust. Added saddle brown leather and black ash wood. To be honest looking forward to seeing digital gauge package. You're right though waiting is very hard....lol

Great video man. Been scanning youtube for C43 videos a long time now, keeping myself occupied. I am waiting for my C43 sedan, ordered it in november, and it should arrive in the end of may. Had a 2017 C63S Estate, and I totally agree with you about the 4-matic. We also have some strange weather here in Sweden. Sure, I could drive the C63 in the winter with winter tyres. But it sure was slippery when you put your fot down.

Got mine last month with 7k miles on the clock for 40k, premium plus pack, in white, added an all black panamericana grille with the silver front star, blacked out 4matic badge, rear strip, c43 and amg badges, added an extended lip spoiler off ebay, stage 1 tune with ppf and resonator delete done my MSL performance, pushing around 460 brake, thinking about putting the c63 edition 1 striping on the side but not sure might be a bit tacky

Hi there, enjoyed the video, I have a pre facelift C43 Coupe from new, Cavansite Blue which I love and Night Package to keep the understated look, love it. My only issue has been in Sport Plus mode occasionally it kangaroos under mild acceleration like you let the clutch out too quickly. My Merc dealer has no idea but I guess it is software issue, just wondered if you had experienced yet?

Hi Ian, Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I know exactly what you are describing with the kangaroos in the pre facelift. Mercedes gave me a pre facelift c43 to testdrive for the weekend when and it was kangarooing like crazy whenever I tried to pull away or drive at slow speeds in sport+. I can confirm that after 3500 miles in my facelift model I've not had a single kangaroo. I've even tried to get it to do it by driving slow in sport+ but the gear box is solid. I think this is a known issue that has been fixed In the new model. I Feel the throttle response is less sensitive in sport+ mode in the facelift too so I think they have tweaked it.

@@ABAUTOAMG It can definitely happen, but I think the parameters are few and far between. Had a kangaroo on a right turn from a dead stop, started to accelerate and had to lift off due to variable traffic. That is when it happens. Pedal oscillations in low gears right as it is about to shift.

Hi Adam, great video. I’m looking at getting a 2019 c43 cab fairly soon. My commute, although longer than yours, seems a similar mix of cruising in comfort mode interspersed with bouts of hard acceleration in sport mode: could I ask what range you generally get to a tank please?

Hi mate, thanks! Glad you found this helpful. MPG really ranges on how you drive in this car. Spirited fun in sport+ can really run your tank down. On average I do around 22mpg with a mixture of comfort cruising and a little sport+ on the fun parts of the drive. I have a video here where I run through the mpg in a little more detail and do a full comparison of normal driving and eco mode. I think you will find this one really helpful. @@srgiosim Ah sorry mate, I meant that I am working on the video, So it's not been finish yet :( Happy to help with questions meanwhile though. I think they are worth it, It's nice to know you have any incidents on camera, you'd be amazed how dishonest people can be sometimes. The parking recording is great too, I feel more confident with my car parked knowing I have footage if someone crashes into it. It has a few cool features too. I had it professionally fitted but was interested so got a little involved to see how it was all done.

@@gangsta4545786 Hmm do you mean a bad rattle sound? In sport+ after high revs when you let go there's a nice bubble noise from the performance exhaust. That's all I hear which I quite enjoy! :) If not I'd get it checked over. Glad to hear you've got your car btw! Enjoy :D

Hi mate. Depends what you look for the most in the car. The performance exhaust is a must for me because I'm a a bit of a big kid and love the pops and bangs :) Digital dash is great but the dials are still nice without so not a total deal breaker. You could always fit an aftermarket exhaust if you wanted to get more sound too.

Great video Adam. Agree as a daily it's a much smarter choice than the C63 as it's very much a Jekyll and Hyde car! Apologies if I missed it, but what sort of MPG are you getting? I'm guessing around mid 20s? Spec wise, I think most people should aim for at least a premium pack along with the performance exhaust 👌

I'm going to be putting a full video together on the running costs I think. With this journey though your bang on at 20mpg. But that does include all the swapping to sport+ and fun moments. With just comfort we'd be around 23-25.

@@ABAUTOAMG not a problem at all. I still have to wait until next year before I look at changing my c220d coupe. I have driven a c43 pre-facelift and I was quite surprised it barely looked any different from my AMG line diesel! But obviously the driving experience was a different league! Like you, when there's traffic I potter about in comfort or eco but if you need to overtake it's nice to have the power there (if only I had it lol). I also managed to drive the A35 AMG recently, it was good fun but as a car the a class does feel quite a step down from a c class 👍

About the Performance exhaust sound, at idle with the engine warm, it's as loud as in cold/start-up? or it's noticeable the reduction of noise?

Hi Edusaab. It's always quite loud even when warm. You can really hear the difference on idle when you open and close the valves. Can't beat a cold start though always sounds the best.

I would say highway 24-28 city 17-20. My average last 2500 miles is 19mpg on the log but that includes lots of sport+ high revs. Hope this helps.

I’ve noticed that with the pops being somewhat unpredictable too, at least in sport plus. Manual seems more consistent! They are picked up good in the audio. What do you use for cleaning by the way, cause it looks great. Mine is currently a dusty girl

Yep! Sometimes you get a nice surprise of pops and crackles! Ah it was a lovely sunny day so car was nice and shiny. After a wash I use this on my car amzn.to/2Uvq7Ps Gives it a really nice shine and protects the clean finish. Can stays cleaner for longer. Its a bit pricy but it tends to last for a good 3 months so not too bad!

My Brilliant Blue C43 Coupe arrived last Sunday with a full tank of fuel (I suspect it was ordinary unleaded), was a little concerned the car seems to ‘splutter’ on fast start, was going to take it to my local Merc dealer until I read about issues regarding ordinary unleaded fuel (which the main dealer failed to mention) I have now filled up with shell v-power and the spluttering has gone away. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same issue with normal unleaded?

Hi Victor, What octane level is ordinary unleaded fuel in your country? Its 95 here and premium is 98. 95 is fine in mine. I've tried premium but did not notice a difference with mine.

Hey, no need for another car the c43 can do it all to be honest. You would just end up driving the c43 everyday while your beater rusts away! With the 4wheel drive you can take it out in a rainstorm and even the snow... gosh starting to sound like a salesmen! Great car though for everyday.
