We found the Biggest Drill Bit ever made for the SDS Max Hammer Drill and this thing is a Monster ...... It pulls the cutting up through the center of the bit to increase the cutting speed and drills 5 times faster than any other bit on the Market. Now we can find out what is below the Caliche bed we have been working on because we think there is even more Gold below it. If you like the vid then Smash that Like son SMASH it HARD!!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I just dug our first official “mine” into soil and rock(it’s only 5 feet deep). Our first experience with no water within miles(we are into panning). Also our first time seeing crystalline gold(2.5 grams for the day). Our self-education in geology and prospecting has finally paid off. We are hooked.

Jeff, I learned a secret from my old time deceased mining partner about getting the really fine gold, He taught me to line the box, like yours with a black garbage bag and lay a layer of burlap on that. Then you lay your regular layer of mat or rug on that. We ran 11 yards of good material one day and on clean up we couldn't believe our eyes! There was puddles and riffles of gold dust under our carpet. There was 3 oz. of it and 8 oz. of gold in the carpet and riffles. Try it good buddy, it's worth a try.

ROBERT snyder, your burlap and plastic bag suggestion is just what I have been waiting for. Thanks. Can't wait until Spring when the ground thaws so I can get back to the claim and try it. I can carefully pan out a bucket at a time but found it to be too labor intensive. I hope it works as well for me as it did for you. Thanks, again.

Your 4' rod reminds me of the sounding rods we used on the ships to check for leaks in our ballast tanks. You know what might be handy for taking a load off you? When I was working on construction as a Boilermaker, I'd often be climbing around with a big impact gun and hammer wrenches. I started setting up an extra retractable lifeline to take the weight of the impact and hanging airhose. It got me negative attention at first but once they saw how much work I got done like that everybody started doing it. You know, connect the wire lifeline to your tool, take the weight off it for a second and let it drops and the line instantly locks, supporting your tool.

With all the work you've put into it with the lovely Lila, no one better deserves it mate. Jeff was the gold in the Caliche or on top? I worked in Los Vegas in the late 1960s. They did not make an excavator large enough to dig caliche, it was just too hard. We had to remove the over burden with an excavator. Then take a 10,000lb wrecking ball and drop it 30 ft to crack the it, then we could remove it with the large excavator. We could not shoot it because it was in layers about 2' to 4' thick and the shot would just blow out the bottom. Gary

Get some thick rubber blatter's to put in the holes that can be filed with water or air and expand from below, I'm the holes! Use a pressure washer to fill them! It seems they are something similar made for plumbing, have two styles. One that just gets larger in diameter, and one that gets larger in length as well as diameter! Being just shy of 1.5" and 12-16" long and grow to 3.5-4" diameter, and 20-24"long! This would work great with this stuff! Maybe a small versions 8" long and 3/8" Diameter expanding to about 3/4" and a 7/8" version, getting UpTo 1.5-1.75" diameter, and lift a few tons of rock! It should split a rock with a few filled, and tap with hammer and chisel between the holes while under pressure! The tubes having a steel safety belt for over expansion with a safety relief, and a rubber kevlar construction , I have all kinds of ideas. It may require a hybrid construction! A hydraulic cylinder with rubber bladder outer to hold it in place to lift or possibly a dozen tiny cylinders to fit inside a 1.5" hole. Putting pressure to the side, but I believe a bladder will work , they May pop , so the price needs to be fair! I know my idea of using 22 charges will work to split rock. Maybe build one based on a 410 or 38 cal, 44&50 mag!

Now that's what I am talking about. That just seems to go with that lost shot. Nothing prettier than gold in the pan, lots of gold. Makes you wonder what is coming next as you continue to dig deeper and deeper. Great video coverage too.

Don't misunderstand me I like every video that you make I enjoy watching your show and learning how to find gold don't take this as a attack only a suggestion from somebody that's been in construction for years if you use a large air compressor and a 90 lb jackhammer that has those bits it will blow out the holes and you can do it in 5 minutes what would take you all day with that

Hey Jeff. Love your videos. But. You need a pneumatic Industrial Drill Slege hammer. That rotates & hammers at the same time. That also injects water into the hole to keep the tip from over heating. And all your dust non existant. You have to use a industrial compressor you can rent. A 60 or 90 pounder Slege hammer is needed. The screw off tips can have their teeth replaced once worn down. Last longer. As your steel will have a hole down the steel and drilling tip. To pump water through. Then you can use charges to remove material. The way your going is a Mom & Pop stuff. It will take you forever. Love your mine. And the videos of your progress regarding it. Over all you will need a Leg Jack pretty soon. A industrial compressor and water injection. Over heating a steel carbon tip will wear it out much faster with out water being pumped through it. Mined for 8 years. Morgan Hill, California. Hard Rock Miner. "Obicular Poppy Jasper" Might be better off drilling holes horizonally as well as verticall. With a Diamond Core Drill used with water. To keep Diamonds in the matrix cool. Then set charges. All the best to you !!! Erik.
