Nice ponderings and wondering on our feelings.... I too have noticed more cry sessions at seemingly random songs, movie scenes, and just experiences with people. They are not "babish" .. I never thought or think about it that way... or an immaturity... but wonder if it is the opposite and maturity of emotional intelligence... just as logical ah ha's and insights help us make sense of our world and universe..... but the key is language and having a name for each of our emotions .... and connecting it to the experience, memory, and to other feelings and experiences..... to like you are doing tryong to make sense of them..... I want to explore and read all of Brene Brown's books .... but especially her last ones on her mapping and naming the 87 emotions. Keep on crying, its good to let it out ... and being in the feels 🙃

I never really got into astrology, but I think "The Fourth turning" inadvertently sheds a lot of light on it. Also anyone who hasn't read "Neuroscience of Personality" by Dario Nardi should probably do so. I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. Very underrated. I also recommend "Energies and Patterns" by John Beebe, but I'm less confident that it's for everyone. I actually find it more rewarding, but it is harder to digest. Although it is easier to digest than Carl Jung.

Great empathy is rare, so easily ridiculed, however, it makes you a great writer, able to move people with your words and imagery. I’ve noticed that when I do fewer creative things, I am more prone to melancholy. Creating forces me to tap into my feelings, so they are less likely to build up.

I cant. . it sounds like you stay grounded in higher ways than you understand, and you listen when others dont.

Ok, I might be exposing myself, too. I've always known i was sensative. The one event that made me really think about it was when I was at the zoo. At the omaha zoo, I saw a gorilla puking its food and eating it up over and over again. Clear sign that something wasn't right. It was really sad, I initially felt like crying, but it turned into anger. Everyone around me - including the people i went with - were laughing and filming it. My partner did not understand why i was so upset that the day ended bitterly for me. So I know exactly what you're talking about. I literally used chatgpt to help me understand if im crazy.

@@creampuff3521 that's horrible. It makes sense that the sadness was transmuted into anger, in that situation I would want to go insane and call everyone out for being so heartless. The zoo is an especially triggering place for sensitive people, I think. I don't think a lot of people understand that and take it purely on surface level

Randomly came across this, but it was very relatable. Perhaps consider looking into borderline personality disorder. Once I researched and looked into it, everything in my life made more sense. It’s a lot to handle, very tiring to feel so much so deeply all the time. I get you wholeheartedly. Hope things feel easier soon

I have definitely considered going to get a diagnosis, there is something unchecked going on for sure 😅. I'm glad that you were able to gain clarity from doing your research and perhaps feel a little less alone in how you were feeling

Simple answer is experience. People that have had hard lives are numb to it.

Emotions are tools. How often you use then really just comes down to your preferences. For me emotions make me feel alive. When someone is expressing a strong feeling I like to feel those emotions because it makes me feel connected to them. Emotions really only come when you linger on a thought; so for logical people it's really easy to just move on, I felt so bad for the guinea pig in the story, but I chose not to linger on it for to long. (it also helps i have no connection to that kind of pet)

@@TrebleKnight agreed. in a way emotions, good or bad, however strong make me feel as if I'm really alive. There's a tendency to over indulge and linger on these emotions for a long while, because sometimes I get stuck on why certain things strike me so intensely.

Ahh, I really think it's a privilege to be a deep feeler. I think with everybody, this stuff works its way out, just in different ways. Sadly, I think a lot of people construe and express their feelings as anger because they don't know what else to do with them. I also think that, as a society, we place greater value on happiness (even though it can be quite elusive and mysterious) than on sadness (which can be an entirely appropriate response). And yet we really need to feel the full gamut of human emotions if we are gonna do justice to the whole incarnation gig, right? You do well not to resist the melancholy. Cry babies rule!

Some kids aren’t allowed to cry and show emotions as kids so they learn to suppress them and it carries on thru adulthood. I’ve also overly sensitive and hate it but I try to hold it in till I’m alone in my room and then I let it out 😅 *Hugs*❤

oh definitely. sometimes i think that's why the feelings have gotten stronger as i get older because now i have the freedom and am comfortable to express without suppressing or getting raged at. And completely understood, bedrooms are always a safe space!

well at least they brought it to the pet shop, unlike many here who abandonned their cats. I don't think it's necessarily bad, I mean I'd much rather have someone who's a bit sensitve than a cold person. I also find it a bit sexy(well perhaps sexy not the right word but more feminine?) with woman, kinda want to give them a hug...perhaps you just have so many thoughts in your mind? I am obviously not you, so I don't know how it is. but for me when I get angry at someone, I try to forgive them and I read the bible(new testament) and prayers. doesn't mean it's easy and takes some time but prayers and reading gives me peace...

with these big feelings you could practice explaining them better, maybe write a small text or a poem, that would be creative and it helps to process and understand the emotions better
