Engineering chatter is not correct (or it's very simplified, and NL interpretted it wrong) - there is no transfer of electrons. If there was, that would fundamentally change the conductor materials. Electrons don't really move, especially in A/C power. In a DC current with constant flow, they only move like 1m/hour. Electricity that we use isn't actually the flow of electrons. it's the electric field, caused by a charge, and the field travels at the speed of light. HOWEVER, it gets really weird, because in a closed circuit that has a battery and a lightbulb, the time it takes to turn on the bullb is based on the physical distance between the battery and bulb, NOT the total length of the circuit. So you can have that circuit be millions of kilometers of wire, if the bulb is close to the battery, it'll turn on instantly. Gravity is something that we can't explain, because we don't know WHY mass causes gravity. We know that it does, we can measure it, but we have no idea what specifically causes gravity.

Yo k8 and NL be tripping splitting bananas is just a thing you do when you are single. I mean sure I could eat like a banana and a half per day before they go bad or I can just buy 3 bananas. also to the question of who eats the left over bunch... the answer is someone else like me! If I see a split bunch I grab that first. I dont go like.. o someone already split that one. I am going to break off my own. I just go... o well this week I get 2 bananas instead of 3-4. I mean at the same time i could just eat more bananas... but like nah f that. Also spoiler the bunch of bananas is normally like 50 something bananas. So they are already technically split.
