i finished "educated" a couple of days ago, and i was absolutely blown away by tara westover's resilience and ability to overcome years of abuse and indoctrination. it's a hard read, but it's definitely going to be a book i recommend to people forever :)) i hope you like it, des!

Project Hail Mary is one of my all time favourite books. It’s honestly very funny at some points but also so thrilling and interesting - I think about it quite often

The way you described the seven year split reminded me of Meg Cabot’s The Mediator series. Same thing, this girl can see dead people, moves into an old house and finds down that there’s someone living there from the 1800’s. Gosh, I read those books over a decade ago and I still remember scenes from it. So good!

The Humans is so good - not a short story collection but a story about an alien that has to understand the human condition. Such a gorgeous book - emotional but SO funny!
