Best rhythm section Ani has had IMO. Andy and Sarah Lee sound fantastic together. That's a great sounding 3 piece...

What a nice performance. Ani DiFranco (to me) is one of the best singer/songwriters from the nineties.

I saw her with this lineup a couple times in the '90s and it was by far my favorite performances. I've seen her 11 times I believe.

Conan always had the best musical guests. People no one else would ever dream of having.
@darkmarc11 ай бұрын
Yes. Though to be fair, Letterman did too, and long before Conan. Both Sinead O'Connor and Janelle Monae debuted on Letterman long before they were popular.

Looking so so so hot, but skipping my favorite lyric. "i gotta cover my butt, because i covet another man's wife..."
@gripdamage8 жыл бұрын
She has said that lyric is misunderstood. People think it's a bi/lesbian lyric, but she's actually saying she is jealous the wife's position. The whole album is about her affair with Goatboy (a man), so that makes sense.
@annjellobrewno47683 жыл бұрын
@@gripdamage That entire album is based solely that? What a rip-off!

For all her reputation as a "feminist poet," she is an assured and joyous performer. I dispute that she's "not a pretty girl." Was she ever on Saturday Night Live? My god, during that hand shake, Conan looks 7-feet tall, and Ani has heels.
@jaimebeckland40914 жыл бұрын
Conan is 6'4"! So he still had a foot on her likely, even with heels.
@eliedgecomb4903 Жыл бұрын
Is this edited? She sang the part about another man’s wife live. That would suck because she moved from Letterman to Conan because of censorship.

@pampoovey67225 жыл бұрын
This is quite clearly pre-recorded. Such a shame, after reading her book when she refused to play Letterman cos she couldn't play Subdivision.....but she agreed to play this voiceless.
@lot1102 жыл бұрын
Wrong! Look at when she turns to Andy and talks to him. Plus she made her name as a live player, so why would she prerecord a song.
@nataliemcanulla59055 ай бұрын
What proof makes you think this is "clearly" prerecorded?
@Tomfoolery1972 Жыл бұрын
Masterful audience engagment. She only glances at the fretboard for the split second when she needs to. Almost imperceptible 🤔
