YES, YES YES, i get it those lyrics probably dont mean anything, but they are BRILLIANT. as is the whole song. "if i did'nt no better, i would swear i was someone else". Macaloon is a fantastic songwriter.

The Golden Calf Brixton Academy: February 19th, 1989 VHS sourced video, featuring the Golden Calf live. Channel 4, “Big World Cafe”. Dave Brewis joined the band on guitar. “I haven’t seen this footage before - I do remember it - it is the Brixton Academy and it was filming from a TV show which I can’t remember… I think we only played one song and I played keyboard because on the track I played percussion, on the video I mimed guitar and didn’t sing. So I had to play keyboard live.” ~Wendy Smith “I used to go to the filmings weekly and was chuffed to see my favorite band pop up one week. There were a few technical problems, so it was 2 or 3 run thrus and paddy doing a solo rendition of maggies farm to keep the atmosphere up” ~Matthewlongemail, KZbin

Gawd, I bought their 2nd LP Two Wheels Good (Steve McQueen) in real-time at Tower Records the minute I heard the in-store by one of the sales peeps that got my love of British Indie Pop which I have been listening to since The Beatles in me childhood (our mum is from Cardiff)... How I wish Paddy and te gang would have toured the States... sniffle...

Kind of a listless performance. Sounds like someone’s out of tune or off key. Wendy looks like she’s experimenting with the keyboard, rather than playing it. Not the best PS song they’ve ever produced.
