Yes .but tough when you were skint and no job to be had .I don't mean picky, You would shovel shit for a wage and the sad thing is you were grateful. But a few quid in your arse pocket and you had a night worth having. The past is a foreign country and they did things differently there. Sadly for the worse.

Goosebumps; this song gets straight to the heart; it's become part of me since day one. I'm so grateful to Paddy, Martin, Wendy and Neil for what they've done over the years; it meant much to me. Paddy is one of the most under-rated songwriters ever but that's a common feature among real geniuses!! Thanks for posting this video.

A catchy, melodic and haunnting song with a sonic quality which is really expressed so so well in Paddy's soaring vocals encouraging me to sing along - absorbing and so enjoyable ❤️ I just recently re-discovered this band and OMG! It is a thousand times better the second time around almost as if I never even well and truly heard them before when I was younger.

Thank you for this video. I am so glad to see it performed live. This is one of the most beautiful songs with haunting lyrics that has ever been written. It has the most captivating quality and touches on feelings of loss and regret that we will have sometime in our lives. The song is from"Two Wheels Good" in the US ("Steve McQueen " in the UK ). This album with its marvelous production by Thomas Dolby is one of the high points of the musical 1980s.

This is Neil Conti who joined for Steve McQueen and was a full member of the band. Yes, he’s brilliant and a session player. You can see him at Live Aid backing David Bowie.
