Intrusive thoughts are completely normal to have, they are triggered by stress or anxiety. You can't control when the thoughts come and go, but being freaked out or worried about intrusive thoughts is normally a good sign because it means the person knows that they are wrong/ know they would never turn the thought into reality. But ya Randy you aren't crazy, most people have intrusive thoughts.

Randy, when my first child was born she slept more in a baby swing than a crib, I literally couldn't sleep unless I was next to her and could reach over and check that she was breathing multiple times a night. It is very instinctual. As soon as that baby is here the focus of your life changes.

ml and grams are not the same. ml is a unit of volume and grams is a unit of mass. They are only roughly equal to each other when you are talking about water. 1:14:57

For pure water 1ml is exactly 1g

Correct, depends on the specific gravity of the liquid.
@owenc87362 жыл бұрын
Just for clarification, millilitres and grams are NOT the same thing. It is true that 1ml of water is equal to 1 gram, but it is not true for most other liquids. For example, 1ml of diesel is not 1 gram

For the first part of the video about working out, Simon brought up a very good point about a “press up” (aka dip). When you push yourself up your mainly using your triceps/chest/delts. This is what you’ll think of during a push day, however, on the way down you are still using these muscles on the “eccentric movement” to slow your body down and not slam into the ground (as you would if you used your biceps and back to pull yourself down. I had a professor who used a “tug rope” analogy to explain. If your pulling on the rope and you move the rope your using your back to pull, however if your pulling on the rope and the person on the other side moves you, you are still using your back to slow the movement down and are pulling. Hopefully I don’t sound like an ass, just trying to help explain if anybody cares. Hopefully that wasn’t too confusingly articulated.

Intrusive thoughts is associated with a load of issues and disorders I obviously can't diagnose for many reasons, but I get them. They're not real things you actually want to do, they're just really bad things to think about that briefly cross your mind involuntarily, but you double back on them and feel really guilty about it afterwards.

I get you Randolph. Its to do with your brain overworking daily. So for example you are busy with KZbin and the companies or have a baby coming so theres a lot of things on your mind daily and your brain is working much harder than before. That's fine but also means whenever you're not doing something that requires lots of brain power (eg: driving, sleeping, waiting for your toast) you brain has to make up for the lack of activity and you get intrusive thoughts. By itself its not cause for concern but I know a lot of you guys go to therapists regularly anyway so if you do then mention it, why not? If it bothers you, try reduce external factors affecting your stress levels and take some time to relax when you can. I always have these thoughts and I love it. Its not thoughts I'd follow through with but thoughts about bad things that could happen and how I'd react to it, which is good because I then feel more ready to act if it happens. For example, when I go to a new room I havent been in I look around for escape routes, fire alarms and estinguishers. If I sleep in a hotel room for the night, I lay in bed thinking about what I'd do if there was a fire or if a man with a knife walked through my door, etc. If I'm walking home at night I look for people following, etc. If you do it all the time, its probably paranoia or something. But if its a few thoughts when your not doing much and your brain in inactive, don't worry too much.

*And so true about the gym thing. Some people are mad productive working out on their own, some people need a bossy trainer to push them, and some people just need a friend/gym partner to go with them and hold them accountable but not pushing them the way a trainer would. You just have to find the sweet spot that works for you since we're all different

Around 30:00 I think randy worded it poorly. What he basicly tried to say was that he has thoughts saying: what would happen if… Many people have this. Probably most. We know not to do it but are just interested in what would happen. Like how harry is interested into plane crashes. And Criminals are people that have those thoughts but actualy do it.
