Am I the first person to sleep inside a Tesla Cybertruck? Lets try it out! Thanks to ‪@JerryRigEverything‬ for renting this Tesla and letting me hang with him.
We rented the truck from ‪@OurCyberLife‬ and it was super nice of them. Don't worry, we will detail the truck inside and out to get my feet marks off!

Biggest disappointment of the Cybertruck is the bed not being able to connect to the cabin

I think they believed to warm up the whole cabin then to the back of the beds where one would be sleeping would take too much batteries. It's may be better to just plug in a small space heater and warm up that way.

@@TTibus I agreed but the heat in the cabin would never reach the back of the truck's bed where it's the coldest. Unless they install a hvac all the way into the beds which I guess would cost much more and most people would rarely use.

I am surprised that they didn't just turn the actual seats into comfortable beds. Like how Ford the seats recline all the way back so you can sleep. That to me makes more sense because the seat is already comfortable, and in case of emergency you hit a button and you're ready to drive off.

Important test. Job well done. I found a 59” x 22” foldable mattress system on Amazon that looks to fit back there perfectly. The length back there is like 59.7” I believe and the width is 27”. That would give you a better base layer for comfort. I am 6’1 and I am a side sleeper, so my legs are never fully extended. Can't wait to get mine, but this was one of my biggest disappointments with the Cybertruck. I camp in my Model S all the time and its great, but it feels like the Cybertruck may be a worse camping experience since there is no HVAC to the bed and the Basecamp tent also has no HVAC connections. A passthrough to the bed or HVAC vents to the bed would solve this. A midgate would be amazing.

Why for the love of comfort didnt you put the back seat up behind the passenger and put the passenger seat as far back and to a nice angle of incline and sleep in the passenger seat. You can stretch out and its way more comfortable! The drivers seat has the steering wheel that can bother you (not for napping when tired, trust me) but for a good nights sleep, the passenger front seat is the way to go IMO. Now cybertrucks a FAIL for me as camping seems to require a tent anyway!

I would never buy that ugly piece of trash. Don’t forget the three different recalls that are on it. The cheap build quality that Tesla is known for. You can’t even adjust your headrest. The seats are like a spaceship literally they’re not real leather. You spend that much money on a vehicle. You better get real leather not some vinyl garbage like you find in a base model work truck from the 1990s.😂

Huh, I'm not convinced that a Tesla Cybertruck would be your first pick if you needed a vehicle to go full homeless in.

Should have just gone to Walmart and picked up a $15 space heater to sleep in the bed. Only question is how air tight is the bed. Is it safe to be in there all night. I will probably replace the back window with something with a slider or cut a hole into force air from the back seat aircon into the bed. Hoping a space heater is enough, but this is plan B.

Wouldn't say you were the first, people working for Tesla did this in testing. You just may be one of the first to try and make money off it with KZbin views though

Good to see this video since my long term plan is to put a platform across the rear seat diagonal into the front passenger seat pushed all the way forward and camping inside a Cybertruck for months long trip through central and south america. Laying flat across the rear seats it's just a few inches too short which is why I think I will need to go diagonal into the passenger seat area. In any case it is going to be a tight fit for sure. I'm 5'7". I did a similar trip across America in my S in the back same as you and it wasn't too bad. Very stealth but I don't think that applies to CT travel.

So during my S trip I figured out how to get the car to fully shut off lights everything and it isn't camp mode. It is the climate keep on mode instead and to force the car to sleep immediately you need to disable both Sentry Mode and Car Alarm, unlock and open front and rear door, then lock all doors with front and rear still open, then switch into climate keep on mode, get out and close front door with rear door still open, get in rear and close door behind you. Car should now immediately go to sleep all lights off but climate still on. To get out of the car in the morning DO NOT open rear door by the door lock otherwise it tends to still sound the alarm. Instead wake the car by pressing the front brake pedal with a stick from the back and unlock the doors from the center screen before opening them. Using this mode in this way also drastically reduces your overnight vampire drain.
