I don't make my own dough / clay. I only buy readymade clay if I need it for some projects. It's costly, so I don't use clay often. I tried to substitute egg carton instead of using clay to save money. I'm sure there are a lot of KZbin tutorial videos for clay recipe, just search for it and a lot will come up.
