The American Legion is a retired military group. My late husband is one of the group. We used to live in Livonia Michigan and every week we went to the place, have lots of fun, dart games, billiards foods and bingo. So the owner of the units is a military. I love the Lenox stuff and kind of expensive. It's valuable too. I would like to know if you still have the Lenox. Love both of you George and Jeremy, nice couple. God bless all of you and be Safe.

Hey Guys... George, it's great to see you. I think some of those pins @ 28:50 ish look to be of Greek Orthodox & others may be just a collection. They are very varied. The Daughters of the Revolution Pin is given to women who register with the organization. You need to be a blood relative of a Revolutionary Soldier. My brother joined the Sons, but I have never filled out the paperwork for myself. Our ancestor, Adam Alexander, - on December 18, 1775 was appointed Lt. Colonel of a battalion of Minute Men. Sorry, but we just got all this info and I am so proud of my ancestors. Looks like a really great unit... luv ya both; GRAM in TEXAS

I believe the sterling silver embossed pen that you thought might be a magnet is actually a pipe tamper used to pack tobacco in a smoking pipe. Very collectible.

Nice to hear and see George again! The square pin with one star once represented a parent who lost a child who served served in the military and was lost.

Oh my goodness what an amazing collection of antique things. Hope you were able to find out what they are worth and able to get a good price for them. It’s great you got loads of brand new kitchen & outside items, I so want to get a air-frier in the future, as I hear they are awesome. Watch what way you use that kanife Jeremy, it could be vital if you missed the tape on the boxes 📦 🥺

The little pin with the blue star with red border is from WWII. It was worn by a lady who had a husband or son in the military. There were also banners to display in a house window. A gold star denoted a soldier killed in action. 😊😊😊

At 26:40 next to the DAR pin, the blue pin with the clover in gold is a Brownie or Girl Scout pin. It’s called a trefoil.

The pin with one star is for a mom who has a child serving in a war. If the owner served during WWII, the Nazi pin could have been something collected from an enemy or found in an enemy controlled area.
@dianelindall11534 жыл бұрын
Mothers of men serving in WW2 had blue star flags that they hung in a window to show everyone that they had a child serving. If someone had a gold star, they lost their child in the war effort.

The Rampant Lion and Unicorn facing that way, is Scotland's emblem and Scottish people are very proud of their emblem. England uses the same creatures, I'm a bit puzzled about the Rooster though, I will have to look further into that some day. That was a great find and once I saw the brooch/pin...it made me smile. I will be bringing a lot of Scottish things with me, when I relocate to the States soon ;)
@cashman96684 жыл бұрын
The Unicorn pin is the British Royal Coat of Arms, not sure what the significance of the rooster is as it does not appear there in the official CoA.

I found two similar Lenox polar bear ornaments that sold for 1-$60.04 2- $43.50 on Ebay(nice selling price). Couldn't find anything similar to the Polonaise Clown ornament (but I really couldn't remember what it looked like). Those Polonaise ornaments are worth a lot of money. I hope you can find yours on Ebay. 33:51-that is an ID bracelet. Also that pendant (29:09) looked like a Coat of Arms symbol.

So many different things in these units that are difficult to identify, the forbidden pin is something I would never wish to own, although it was a very old sign for good luck it is total anathema to me having family members who fought in WWII. As for the copper pan and the air fryer they are something I would love if I were still able to cook. Every video from these units has something special in it and I am really enjoying each one (I always do but these seem special). Please take care my friends and stay as safe as possible, love and hugs to you and George Mary-Ellen UK
