Today I'm giving you guys a tour of my house here in Tokyo!
I'm very fortunate to have this space and am absolutely aware that this is a great deal here in Tokyo. What you guys don't see in this video is how old the house actually is, the dents and cracks, the mice, etc. However, I wanted to share this tour with you in case you were wondering what a house inside central Tokyo might look like!

For the 2 of you its a nice sized little house. Big enough that you both aren't on top of each other 24/7 and small enough it doesn't take forever to clean, and it looks like you're making use of the space on hand very well. Awesome for both of you.

Brian, they are in their twenties, so of course they are on top of each other 24/7 🙂 Pato had so much innuendo in their vids that I imagine she had to draw Shun-chan a diagram (metaphorically).

First off, congratulations to you and Shun. You guys are lovely together and have both convinced me to visit Japan sooner rather than later. Also, wow, that's actually pretty nice place for that price. For comparison, here is what I pay for a 3 bedroom apartment in a tourist area of Massachusetts, USA but not in a city: -our smallest bed room is about half the size of your smallest, middle sized room is about the same if you include your storage area, and our largest room is about 2x larger than yours -our respective living rooms are about the same size -our kitchen is about 2x bigger but we have a washer and dryer (I had to configure all the outlets myself) in it, with a larger refrigerator. However, you have much better cabinet storage. -our tub is bigger, but we have the bathing area, sink area, and toilet areas combined into one small space that takes up half the amount of room that all those things do in your place. -4 people live in our house -we had to provide everything to furnish the house, and make some improvements to add washer and dryer. -public transportation comes once an hour and stops at 7pm Our rent = $2,200 per month

I've seen a few other KZbinrs post tiny apartment spaces in Japan and this is a lot bigger than what I've seen. You and Shun got a really awesome deal and the layout is not cramped at all. Took me a while to catch that the shower didn't have a shower head connected to the wall like they have it in America. Also, having that toilet seat separate from the shower is quite odd. I've only seen that twice in a couple different hotels in America. Is that common in Japan to have the toilet seat be in a completely separate room from the shower/bathroom?
@CantankerousDave
@CantankerousDave Жыл бұрын
The toilet and tub are only in the same room if the place is *really* small. And remember that you get clean outside of the tub before climbing in, so in cases like that, there's going to be a drain in the middle of the floor and a plastic cover over the toilet paper holder to keep it dry.
