I just happened to be in HCM last night catching the bus for the coast.We watched the game waiting for the bus. Soon after my girlfriend said - wait until you see what happens next Haha- it was so fun to see everyone out celebrating.It made me feel so good to be able to see it. @@minhmeo1209 every Southeast Asia country I’ve been has its pros and cons. I’ve been to both as well as Cambodia multiple times. I’d say if you choose only Bangkok alone then it’s most convenient but it’s not the best bang for your buck. Vietnam just opened a rail line so it should get better and they are cheaper.

I am obviously a Team USA and Korea supporter (internationally: Tottenham Hotspur of Premier League and locally where I'm based, DC United of Major League Soccer) but follow Vietnam because of Park Hang-seo, your coach. 😁 And I'm just overall a football fan. Reminds of when I was visiting Vietnam a few years back, when I was in HCMC/Saigon, where with my local friend and their friends we watched Vietnam play Malaysia on one of many Big Screens set -up for the match by the Vietnamese authorities so people could watch the match. The atmosphere was very loud and impressive (I still have the horn and Vietnamese flag from that night). Afterwards it was just crazy and chaotic as people celebrated covered in Vietnamese flag and colours drove around on their scooters and cars making lots noise and setting off flares (this was for a drawn match, so you only what it would have been like had Vietnam won the match).

It was actually a win for us If you are talking about the 2018 AFF cup final, where Vietnam draw Malaysia 2-2. Vietnam was the away team, a tied 1-1, 2-2 or 3-3, will actually be a win for Vietnam in that case. A loss or a 0-0 tied which hurt Vietnam. In big matches with 2 legs game, the away team has the advantage if they scored a goal. 2-2, Vietnam actually won because they scored 2 goals as the away team. That’s why Vietnamese went crazy, it wad a win for the Vietnamese. In the next leg, pressure is on Maylaysia to win 2-0, 3-0 or 3-1…must win by 2 goals… But Vietnam won 1-0 yay :)
