April's when I was there. Ho Chi Minh City really was pretty warm and humid, especially in the evenings with people packing the streets! My salvation in Saigon was a nice hostel that had a terrace on its roof with a constant cool breeze. Da Nang was a dream, other than the construction noise. Hanoi alternated clear and overcast, but overall pretty good. Streets had people, but not bumping into one another. COVID stay away! End of winter/early Spring 2023, I'm going back and see some of the places in your videos.😋

I never made it north of Phan Thiet, but Ho Chi Minh City I wouldn't go during the rainy season. Unless you like rain and flooded streets, more of an issue if driving a motorbike, though the rainy seasons never seemed to be as bad as when I first got there in 2008. I'd also be wary of Lunar New Year. Yea, it's great and a lot to see, but prices have a substantial increase as well. Dry season I think is the best, and being from Missouri the humidity never got to where I couldn't take it. Forget what you saw in movies, and when I went to Cu Chi the area looked nothing like the jungle in Platoon. Even going local and wearing a Levis jacket when driving my motorbike to and from places during the day. In 12 years working there, prior to COVID, I only had AC when I went to work. That's if the school/learning center had AC. Only time I noticed the humidity was in the season changes and that was mild compared to St Louis in summer.

Up North there are only 2 types of weather. Hot and wet, or cold and wet. There are about 3 weeks at the start of summer that's dry, and 3 weeks at the end of Autumn. In an average year, you'll be lucky to experience 6 weeks of pleasant weather where you can spent time outside without being drenched in sweat or rain. Pollution in Hanoi is another factor that makes it miserable to go out. Central and South Vietnam is hot and humid for 10 months out of the year, with only February and March that's pleasant. Vietnam has a lot charms, but a nice climate isn't one them.
