I don't care what anybody says that's a beautiful old truck. Amazing that a flathead 6 actually had 99,000 mi on it, wow. You guys just keep doing what you're doing don't worry about what people say it's all about what you're doing right! 👍 Many blessings to y'all as always.

Hi Richard and Christina ! I have been waiting and waiting for this video ever since the teaser you put out ! And it was worth the wait ! Love the self tapper pole barn garage reference ! Lol lol lol. With apologies to Mopar fans , old Dodge parts can be a problem , only thing that may be worse would be IH parts. Stopping and going back to basics is always the Golden Rule when weird problems are giving you fits....So happy you put that advice in , it NEVER FAILS ! Fantastic Video ! Thank You !!

At 14:09, I remember from far back in my youth they used those for rooms that did not have wall sockets. You took out the bulb, screwed it into the adapter, then screwed the whole thing back into the ceiling receptacle which was usually hanging down from the ceiling....L-O-N-G time ago!!!

Nicely done. Thanks for taking us along ! Would be nice to have direct link shown for questions. This one is to be sold...maybe post a ballpark number along with your list of known issues the new owner will need to address. Little pressure wash on your shop entry canopy would be nice. Really dirty ! See you both next week.

Christina mam when I had mentioned that I was working on a early 94 Chevy Z71 Silverado extended cab short bed 350 sbc tbi and I found out that it has a 5206 dr side 350 55lh and a 5279 40-45lh fuel injector on the passenger side of the throttle body injector pod, and it would shoot 4ft flames out of the deep tone dual glass pack muffler exhaust and 3 1/2 inch stainless steel single wall angle cut heartthrob brand about 14 inch long exhaust tips and it sounded like a double barrel side by side shotgun.... Being fired simultaneously... Neighbor's hated that truck...

Had a '53 Dodge pickup, it was the same as this one you have. This was around 1980, and it was about the hardest starting truck I ever had. New points, condenser, cap, rotor, coil, carb rebuild, and still very stuborn to start. Hearing you guys cranking and cranking on the srarter sure brought back the memories.

Right on. When I used a 6 volt battery, this truck turned quite a bit. The 8 volt I used in this video solved that problem.

GREATJOB U 2. I have a 51F3 and the engine looks the same I also seem to have a larger, in diameter, steering wheel which gives me a little more leverage for turning when parking etc. My wheel had lots of play I'm it and I discovered the steering box itself was loose where it connected to the frame so after tightening it there I lost a lot of that play. Of course you can also tighten up the play in the wheel by tightening the worm gear in the steering box itself. Very sturdy old reliable farm vehicle.

Ah yes, the devil beating his wife during a sunny rain. My father used to say that. He was born in 1903, six months before the Wright brothers flew their plane at Kitty Hawk. My mother never liked the expression. LOL. Very nice job on the Dodge truck. The oldest Dodge I ever owned was a '61 Dodge Pheonix I had in high school. We called it, "The Boat." I drove it around while I was fixing up a '57 Ford Ranchero. I love watching you bringing these vehicles back to life.

I bought a trailer made from a 1950 Dodge pickup for $150 in 1980. They bent the frame that went under the cab into a V & installed a trailer hitch. It still has the rear end & brakes on it.

I see that a lot lately! I did not know how popular it was to use truck beds for trailers.

Love the old truck and those rear windows are so unique, and it sounds cool also. There is a certain procedure for adjusting those old Mopar brake shoes. When I followed that procedure in the old Motors manual the brakes worked perfectly. Also, Andy Bernbaum and Roberts have old Mopar parts. Anyway, you two are so funny together, it's a blast to watch how you interact! Great job on the truck! Catch you later.
