I’m a novice embroiderer…what is the difference between 2 strands doubled and 4 strands

Hi! There’s no real difference- it’s all technically 4 strands of floss. In this tutorial I double the floss over (so 2 strands with the ends tied) so the actual stitch is made up of 4 strands. I explain it this way because I find it easier for beginners but some people stitch without tying the ends in a knot (something I find more difficult to explain to first time stitchers!)
