I love your patterns. Would they work with less threads as I have a wrist issue? About 3 strands is my max. Thank you!

I love this! Will get the pattern on Etsy! Just curious.. do you recommend using any other stitches? Like a lazy daisy? Or bullion stick for the lavender? I’m wondering if you use simple stitches because it’s on clothing and the other stitches don’t hold up well in wash? Or ?

At the moment doing it the wrong way would be fine for me. I guess it’s a day of French Knots tomorrow. All I get it a very small back stitch. What am I doing wrong? Xx

You made it look easy to do. That's wonderful. Is there any way to waterproof it or is it not necessary?
@riverbirchthreads479121 күн бұрын
Hmm good question. Not really that I know of but if it gets wet the fabric and floss would just dry out! I don’t think it’s necessary

You mentioned at the end that you would talk about washing, but you ended after you hand-washed the paper away. Are the jeans still machine washable or would that ruin the embroidery? Thanks so much for the tutorial!!

You have to go slow and a good trick is to hold one end of the floss between your knees and pull down. Having the tension will help the floss not knot

I have been embroidering since I was early elementary (I'm in my early 60s). I have several tea towels that are embroidered and are at least fifty years old. They all get used every day and go through the washer and dryer. Buy good quality fabric and top-level threads.

such a helpful video! @riverbirchthreads4791 should we be doubling our embroidery thread/threading the needle so the floss is like a double strand? And with the back stitch, do you just push the needle back through the same hole as the previous stitch? Or do you actually split the threads of the previous stitch and push through them?
