Enjoyed this Wheat harvest video. The drone footage was amazing along with the music that went with it, very fitting. Great to see all the family working together to get an important job done on time.

What an awesome family. Love how everyone pitches in and does their share of the work. It’s great that you even get your in-laws to help. God has truly blessed you all and I pray for you all to have a safe harvest. Was also nice to see a little of the next generation of the family farmers!

Thank you so much for taking us all on the Wheat Harvest Journey! For those of us who can no longer actively farm it is such a heart warming thing to see the operation and feel the emotions associated with trying to keep a viable agricultural operation moving ahead. Near impossible in the busiest time of the year! Rally wish I could join you July 2. LOVE all your songs!!! Have a super concert! Good Harvest to you all! FarmerMJ

Loved your father-in-law's drone footage, Greg! He's a real expert on getting such good views of those beautiful pieces of farm equipment gathering up those wheat crops! I wondered if you have felt a crunch on your gasoline or diesel to run your combines, as I heard today on the news that diesel was very expensive because it is becoming scarce. I pray you have a good harvest and that your other double crop plantings will do well in such heat. Hopefully you can irrigate somewhat. Kendall's girls were very happy to see daddy when having their lunch out on the shaded area of a field! It's wonderful that there are so many strong men in the Peterson family to keep up such a large farm and cattle! All of you work so hard, including the wives preparing meals!

I’ve got uncles, aunts, and cousins who harvest wheat in Pratt county, Coats, Kansas. My cousin owns and runs the grain elevators in Coats. My grandparents owned the drugstore in Coats for 40 years. I’m surprised to see the family running combines themselves. I thought most Wheat was cut by custom cutters who start out in south Texas and work their way north to Canada. Love the videos, brings back many memories.

Glad to see you guys are getting the wheat harvested. Here in Pennyslvania farmers are busy bailing hay. Farmers here don't plant wheat much anymore. It's mainly soyabeans, and corn. My Grandfather planted wheat, Oates,corn and barley every year.Hopefully, you will get all the wheat harvested soon!!

What is Nathan "spraying?" Is your wheat sprayed with weed killer dessicant or allowed to dry naturally? @Peterson Farm. Glad u are expanding wheat whilst others are being paid to plow crops under. Wonderful family video! ❤👍✅🌞
@PetersonFarmBros2 жыл бұрын
Nathan is spraying weeds before we plant the crop. None of the wheat is Kansas is dessicated before harvest it dries naturally. That practice is only used in the far north where the climate is too cool and growing season too short to dry naturally. No farmer is getting paid to destroy crops btw that was a joke started by farmers on tiktok!
@pinschrunner2 жыл бұрын
@@PetersonFarmBros thanks for your reply. Please allow me to clarify, I was asking what is the weed killer product he is using? And I realize that in the Dakotas far.ers use dessicants to dry, but I also have farmer friends in NY, Canada, and Indiana who would never consider it. So latitude doesnt always dictate practice.

I think bushels this year are fetching good prices.
@chrissyfrancis89522 жыл бұрын
Planting more wheat is not only a great idea bc of the prices, BUT, if Ukraine (Europe’s “bread basket”)does have a shortage this year, hopefully America’s farmers can fill the gap. Works out for everyone!

Good ol' speculation. Stock brokers and the middle man sets the price of food commodities and the Farmers that grow it and the folks who eat it are literally held hostage. So what happens if the Stock Holders say " We predict that Winter Wheat will be in high demand and the prices will be excellent for Farmers". So Farmers in the Midwest plant more Winter Wheat than in seasons past , but then for some reason ,Winter Wheat does not fetch the " high demand " because rye or oats were in much higher demand "than expected" . Does the Farmer who "gambled " on the Winter Wheat basically get " screwed " and is left with all that Wheat and so "dumps it " for a really cheap price and then "eats' the loss? Then the next season , there is much less capital to purchase ,seed, pesticides ,fuel ,and fertilizer and perhaps an unforeseen expense because a combine needs repair ? The Farmer bears the burden whilst the Stock Holders/ Middlemen reap the financial benefits. Am I right about this? I get confused with the complexities of Supply ,Demand and Overhead . I hope that I am wrong regarding how Supply, Demand and Overhead works because knowing that the Nation's food supply is secure makes me sleep better at night. I support the Farmers and respect Them because My life and every person's lives depend upon the Farmers . I enjoy Your honest ,down to Earth ,positive attitudes and entertaining Videos .
