Wheatstone bridge & its logic | Electric current | Physics | Khan Academy

Wheatstone bridge is a special circuit consisting of 5 resistors. When the resistances in the adjacent arms have the same ratio, no current flows through the middle resistor! This is called a balanced Wheatstone bridge.
It's used in calculating unknown resistances using a meter-bridge set up.

Then there are certain cases like delta to star and star to delta conversion of circuits which can make it easier.

Great video. But... you don't show how to solve the general case of an un-balanced bridge. That's the fun part, since it's pretty easy. Convert each side of the bridge (top and bottom 2 resistors) into a Thevenin equivalent, then it's just 2 voltage sources and 3 resistors in series. If you don't know how to do a Thevenin equivalent, look it up. It's a simple and very powerful circuit analysis technique that reduces ugly messy circuits into simple ones. Maybe your next video? Current always flows from high to low potential.But when there is no potential difference it wouldn't flow at all.Take the analogy of two water tanks separated by a pipe when the water level is same in both the tanks,water wouldn't flow.Hope it helps.
