I just noticed that the sound effect for Lose a Turn here is used for Bankrupt on the American show.

I'd say this would've been early in year as they still had the $45 space in round one, high-pitched letter chimes and the old buzzer sound. There are a couple of other episodes on here from a bit later in 1994, and in both of them, they had different sounding letter chimes and buzzers and the $45 space had been increased to $100

Yes, later in the year, the set became gold/yellow, for Burgo's 10th anniversary. Great upload as usual Josh. Does anyone know when the "Goodie" wedge was introduced? It's a blue wedge, with bold yellow writing on it

I see that contestants still bought prizes on the Australian Wheel of Fortune in the 1990s. By autumn of 1989, prizes weren’t for sale anymore on the American Wheel of Fortune, and that’s still true.

The prize shop lasted right through until the show's controversial revamp and move to Sydney in July 1996

I can't believe the lady who solved every single puzzle in the main game didn't make it to the bonus round. This shows how messed up the scoring was back then.

My guess is they didn't bother because Joy more or less confirmed she knew it. To tell the truth I really don't know if anyone has danced to that theme for the bonus round. This ep was from when I was 2 years old, and later that year from Burgo's 10th Anniversary onwards I was led to believe that was the point when the theme music, bonus round and puzzle fanfare were updated along with minor cosmetic changes to the set before the logo changed for 1995. I grew up more with the updated sounds.

I know I shouldn't complain when the contestant gets the Major Prize Round puzzle, but I really wanted to hear that funky think music. BTW, Josh, do you know if anyone's actually danced to that theme while trying to solve the Major Prize Round puzzle?

But their money was still at risk. If they hit bankrupt and didn't solve the puzzle, they lost it all, but if they had solved the puzzle, then their score was set back to what they had when they solved it. (I know, it's a bit confusing, but that's why we have the two scoreboards for each player.)
