Man!! Prior to the player, Alex, finding the w, I was convinced it was Swat Kats! Great cartoon, which I *HIGHLY* recommend!

Simple as they were, the Wheel of Fortune games were always enjoyable on any console and the NES is no exception. I will say that on the Wii version, Vanna looked adorable on there, and Pat wasn't bad either (about time we finally got the actual host and hostess together) Vanna still looked great in the flash image of her in this game, but the dress she's wearing looks like she's wearing that frosting bag thing bakeries use, lol.

This is the best version on nes even beats out the snes version.

Gameplay wise, this was a major step up from Rare's offerings. The wedge values change with each round, just like on the show (although the order is backwards). The bonus round's been brought up to date with RSTLNE to start as well as the WHEEL envelopes (including 25 THOOOOOOOOUSAND DOLLARS!!!) Overall, design choices might be a matter of taste, but this remake was definitely truer to the text where it mattered.

Honestly, my favorite of the Wheel of Fortune NES games, is this one right here. Used to play this at my grandmother's house as a child all the time. (I didn't own it, and I regret not just taking it home with me - She had Tetris in the NES & the volume of the little TV all the way down every time we visited her)

Even this game, which sports a 1990 copyright on the back on box, sports a 1991 copyright date on the title screen, appears to have actually been released in 1992.

It seems like this version is a lot more faithful to the TV show given it delivers the R-S-T-L-N-E letters in the bonus round before you choose your own. The ones by Rare didn't do that.

The versions by Rare (the first of which was released in 1987) were accurate at the time, because they used the old bonus round rules: contestants were not given R-S-T-L-N-E until 1988. They didn’t change it for the Junior and Family editions (even though the show’s rules had changed), because extensive reprogramming would have been required.
