I saw on the author’s IG that the Atlas Six is getting a hardback/audiobook edition through a major publisher, which I think means it’s going to get a fresh edit. I’m curious to see if the update will change much (ie ratings)!

Also, I feel the same way about "A Lesson in Vengeance" -- I enjoyed myself, for the most part, (like, the vibes were IMMACULATE. 10/10 for the vibes) but it felt, like you said, "style over substance" and I'm not sure if that's enough for me to keep the book for my collection. I can totally see why you had mixed feelings about "The Atlas Six". I LOVED it, but I can see why it's divisive. Honestly, for me, I feel like "Ace of Spades"'s tagline spoiled too much and so it lessened the tension for me because I knew where the story was likely going to go and I kind of hoped it would go differently? A lot of books on your TBR for this month are ones I'm interested in, too, so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them!

Lies could also be a book featuring Pattern. hmmmm LIES Vita Nostra is one of my favourite books but I don't like the way the ending is done. It's book 1 in a series but it's a companion series and the other two books haven't been translated. I want them though. And the conversion might not be what you think. It's a kind of: nothing is as it seems situation. I'm so curious what you'll think of it. And most of what you'll think about the execution of the ending. The school has a Latin school anthem type thang that's apparently actually something that exists. It's also a kinda morbid song. And Uzumaki is my fave Ito. Ito is definitely something that drives on the art and I love the creepiness of his art style :)
