Wheel of Time - Episode 8 Discussion (MEH, but Hopeful)

Sorry for the delay. I couldn't make up my mind on how I felt about this one. I'll be honest, it wasn't my favorite. There were some positive takeaways though! Please be civil and respect other people's opinions in the comments!

Your video was definitely worth the wait. I do agree on most of it indeed and think you explained and worded it very well. My feelings after the first watch were also rather mixed with a wtf did I just watch question at the end. Having rewatched it though my feelings are more positive now. I do take the problems and restrictions they had into account a bit more than you I guess, which makes my rating a solid 4. I was flabbergasted by some of the reactions online to be honest as I just dont seem to be able to understand how the series would impact ones feelings about the books. I'm looking forward to season 2, and I'm hoping Amazon will give us more episodes or screen time than in season 1. Also looking forward to your next videos, thanks for sharing. Cheerio

These types of comments are extremely encouraging! When I'm rating I'm rating the production as a product of Amazon, and not necessarily JUST rafe and the crew. If something is rushed or cropped because rafe was only given 8 episodes...then that's maybe not on him but Amazon as a whole. This is a cash Cow for the executives and will be treated as such. I care about wheel of time and don't think the books could ever be ruined for me. The show is something separate. I just hope as time goes on they find their groove!

Love your thoughts. I kinda enjoyed the show but was put off by certain aspects. Loial was such a let down for me. "A Shannaran fantasy that pretends to be epic". 🙄My thoughts.

There are so many parts to the season that were knocked out of the park to me though. Hopefully they can work on having more continuity in the future.

@@Kevinbaconator_ I hope so too and bring an epic feal to the show. The world in the books is definitely epic but cannot say the same about the show. I am only looking for improvements. If there are, good but if not then I won't be watching further. Don't wanna ruin my books love due to the show.

Yeah episode 8 was a let down. They needed a much higher energy battle and crazy magic stuff. Money problems or whatever
