That first teaser. That’s the best one because I was SOOOOOOO emotional. I did not know there was going to be a show and I knew absolutely NO ONE who had read these books and I had gone through the whole series 3 times alone and when I saw this trailer I started screaming and jumping up and down and my whole household just stopped and stood staring at me while I lost my mind, yelling Moiraine! Lan! Nyneave! Egwene! Mat! Perrin! Rand! Tam! Siuan! And then I started crying. My family basically quoted Mat, “You have fully lost your mind.”

Whilst im pleased that Egwenes accepted test is there i hope they dont over labour it timewise as we already had a whole episode for Nynaeves and there isnt enough episodes to dedicate to a similar presentation. Interesting visual - look at how liandrins dress is turning black when fighting Alanna in the street. Debris and soot from the fight but a great representation of her disclosure as a balck ajah.

It wasn’t a whole episode. It was a longer than usual cold open scene with one other scene so maybe 15 minutes of time.

You're being generous. The whole event absorbed an entire episode with Nynaeve escaping the arch right at the end. They focussed on Egwene trying to open it too and Liandrin feeling like she lost an opportunity. For an 8 episode season it was a massive chunk of screen time. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, but why revisit a further 1 or two trips this season at a similar intensity when you have the trips through rhudian to overcome. If it's that important they need to strip back the unnecessary padding and extra new stories that they felt compelled to add in S2. This season has to be, HAS TO BE, more focused on the boys.

I’m with you. The Nynaeve episode was great but we don’t need that scale again, or even close to it. I figure they’ll also have Elayne be raised as well, maybe even off screen. It’d help establish the tower as a somewhat stable entity for us before the coup.

My favorite moment is when Alanna and her warders are in Tar Valon, and Alanna throws the sidewalk at Liandrin. I want to throw a sidewalk at Liandrin for turning Egwene over to the Seanchan, too.

I don't think the "Tower Coup" is the "women shredding each other" scene. I think it's more likely the escape of the Black Ajah with some of the White Tower's cache of ter'angreal/angreal, which turns bloody when they're confronted on the way out. Word is going to reach the White Tower that Liandrin betrayed several Novices pretty fast. I'd imagine that as soon as the Amyrlin's entourage returns to Tar Valon, Liandrin is going to realize the jig is up and gather who and what she can very fast and then BAM, caught and running! Alanna's gonna lose someone, a few sisters will probably die. This gives us the action intro we need without ruining the downfall of Suian. We know that she attends Egwene's Testing along with Leane, so I would place the Tower coup later in the season once we get some Elaida + Alviarin scheming. My guess would be closer to the end of the season since we also get a snippet of Moiraine and Suian kissing in the fishing hut / TAR. As far as pacing goes, we know Episode 1 will start with action (Black Ajah fleeing the White Tower probably), Episode 4 will be Rand-centric (Glass Columns past history/what-if worlds), at some point we have the Two Rivers Battle (my guess would be later in the season like Ep 7 or 8 since he already knows Faile), and we have to get the Moggy v. Nynaeve confrontation by the end of the season too. That gives us high points at 1, 4, 7, and 8 probably, with intro to the Aiel Waste being 2/3 and the Tanchico hunt being more 5/6. Just my random guesses!

I think we have to assume literally every shot in this trailer is a vision. Sure, some of it is likely not, but it's clearly showing Moiraine experiencing her thousand thousand options too. So I'd not be eager to believe anything we see here as applicable to the actual story. Editing to add: Rands history, and Egwene's test too...LOTS of opportunity for things that aren't "real".

What I would be most bummed about would be bit to see the band’s origin story if mats not in the waste or coming out from the waste and fighting couladin. We already didn’t get that in the book. Would have been so great to see it in live action

No sure if this has been mentioned before, but I think the third season will open with the Black Ajahs trying to escape Tar Valon. Then all fighting stops as in the sky they see the image of Rand on the tower with the banner of the flamed dragon behind him. The next image is of Elaida seeing the same image, then other scenes of other characters seeing the image, even one of Rhuidean (spelling?).

What is you theory behind the reasons for giving Egwene a wound that cannot be healed? I think it a poor one. Her rise doesnt require her to walk on lockstep with Rand.

I think Rand carrying Moiraine from Rhuidean is from one of the 1,000,000 lives. I think Moiraine does go to Rhuidean. And I think Lan is angry because he knows what Moiraine intends. Or he's angry with wool-headed Rand.

Spoiler: Alanna had 2 warders. When Perrin arrives in Tworivers in the book. Alanna had one warder die *off page*. I think that was Maxim. Would be book 4
