When you sand down the dent do you put metal or sometthing to even it back up or do you just leave it as a smothed out dent? Im new to this

Your quite right. A good refurbishment company will add weld then sand to original shape. No idea if they did. Otherwise once powedercoated will stick out like a sore thumb.
