Coming together nicely, Zak. I like the wheels. I would have chosen a lairy colour for the body, but the cream is also nice as it looks classic. I'd get the exhaust custom made. I dont know if it is possible, but maybe consider dual pipes coming out of the centre as a nod to the R32.

A vw fan for past thirty some odd years and had myself about 9 vws from Golfs to Audis and Passat wagons...This build brings back many memories of my days...Coming from Sunny South Africa ...here are two tips from me for the bonnet "Prop rod" I'd suggest use 1/3 or 1/2 inch( not sure of the size) heat shrink on the tip of the rod so as not to scratch your fresh paint work....Secondly shop on our local markets for the door scratch plates that fit under the door handles on the outside to prevent scratches and marks in the handle area...Locally the only come black in color. Not sure if they unique to South Africa or available else where...but we use to get them from dealerships new or breaker yards used... Aftermarket its R200 a set of four

Its coming along nicely, proof that simple cost effective details go very far. I suggest you get a custom exhaust for a tailored fit/sound (budget allowing of cause)...overall, the project already looks pleasing to the eye, cant wait to see the final product! 👌💯

Do the exhaust ur self dude,u did everything ur self thus far, with the help of ur dad. So go for it dude and try putting heat shrink on ur bonnet stand as well for extra protection from scratching ur paint.

On the end of the bonnet arm you should heat up some clear rubber tubing and push a couple inches on to make the tip softer and not damage anything. I dont think the ppf alone will keep it.

Amazing build. It's coming together really well. The inner door handles are the wrong way around, left on right, and vice versa. I'd also give the window steel holder that attaches to the mech a bit of rust proofing before fitting the door card's.

Just a tip to make the paint last on the parts. Go for 2k paint it has a great finish, its easy to apply and it won't flake off easily like regular rattle can stuff
