Indeed the pickemup trucks are way better as street and trail rides. No doubt. Yeah the Bel Airs have been peg warmers. And you watch. The next time I go to get one they'll be gone. The last time I was there I counted 6 or 7 of them scattered out on pegs. Along with the Land Rover in yellow and the Mersadies thing that looks like a Land Rover. I don't care for the wheels on the yellow Land Rover. They just don't appeal to me. But these bullit hole wheels from the Bel Air I definitely like the looks of. As long as they are not gold. Lol. You have yourself a Fleet of big air Bellaire's, you put some work into them to mount the the monster truck wheels on them. The trucks look really good, those wheels are cool and work with the trucks. You are the master with make wheels work on your car and trucks, you always have great ideas and use things no one else would think of. That is why Mike Macgyver's is the best shop out there. Lol. I hear ya. I love the way the Chevys look now. I really don't care for monster trucks but I do like the truck itself so I just had to build my own style of 4x4. All these Big Air Bel Air castings will be someone else's to do as they wish. All I wanted were the wheels I like this style of 4x4 real riders. Thank you for watching 👍🏾😎

You recon ? Lol. Yeah as you saw theres 7 Bel Airs. I only showed 3 of the trucks but I did 8 of them too. 7 of them are greenlight castings and one is an Auto world the auto world Came with rubber tires but I received it without any at all so I used the big air Bel Air tires for it. Anyway. Yeah I do a lot of wheel swaps. Did you see the wheel swaps from the past few years I made if not your missing some great swaps I did.

The last truck I did before using the tube I cut a piece of M2 base plate to the size I needed and drilled a hole in the middle and bent the 2 axles to a L shape and run the end in to the hole and J. B. Welded the axle in place from both sides of the hole. I figured I'd try the tube method this time. Eather way work tho. As long as you get the height you need for the tires to clear the fenders and not rub. ✌🏾😎

Yes. That's why I bought them.for. To use the wheels on these 3 Chevy trucks. Wasn't you paying attention ? I mentioned each time about what I put the big Air Bel Air wheels on. Lol. And the monster truck wheels I put on all these Bel Airs came off of these 3 trucks and some other trucks that I didn't have in the video. A couple of Dodge trucks , A Ford and several Chevy's I already passed on a custom made military Hummer hum V on a monster truck frame and wheels. Also a Fast and furious Off road 70 Dodge Charger that I robbed the wheel from and put a monster truck frame and wheels on too. I also passed on 2 of the monster truck frames and wheels also so they can build their own style of monster truck. I have one more Chevy Monster truck and one more Big air Bel Air that I'm going to change just like these in this video. Possibly this weekend. ✌🏾😎

@@mikedison1149 Okay that makes sense now. I seen the one you preformed surgery on with removing the metal rear end to fit the lift better. I don't really collect the Big air Bellaire car. Were those trucks from Just Truck's or something else? Just wondering?

@@ShawnStafford-1978 the trucks are Greenlight. King of Crunch on single card. I only buy the king of crunch castings that don't have the fenders all cut out big and wide. If it's like that I don't buy them. And lastly Greenlight has released several with the cut out fenders. I pass on those.

@@mikedison1149 I was thinking that they're not Hotwheel truck's but something else. You definitely do have way's of swapping out and modifying expensive versions of vehicle's 🤣 Hahaha it's all good. Now I think about it, my Firebird Trans-am Friday video, I swapped out premium wheel's for a few mainline Firebird Trans-am cars. I like my Firebird cars more

Great episode. I thought the pen axle trick was really cool, haven't seen that before. Just out of curiosity have you ever considered cutting your own axles from really thin aluminum rod? Might help with the fitment

Thanks. ..... No. I haven't on the axle thing. I have too many axles already. I have 60 of them in a tiny jar. Plus I have 4 other jars full of wheels still on axles. Other collectors on U tube use metal tubing from a hobby store to use on their projects. I have plenty of ways to put wheels on the castings. 2 trucks I fix a few weeks back I did the axles a different way. Too hard to explain lol. And I've done others different too. I think outside the box you should see the leftover pieces of M2 base plates I've cut pieces from. It covers a paper plate up pretty good. That's what I pour them on to when I'm looking for a particular piece I need. Lol. It's my 1/64th scale scrap yard. Lol. Anyway. Thanks again for watching and your comment. Have a nice weekend ✌🏾😎

No. It looks just like the main line model of the Big Air Bel Air. Only with metal base and real riders. Where as the main lines have plastic base and plastic wheels.

I don't like the original big air Bellaire look originally. Reminds me of a big truck wheels gasser but not a cool looking gasser. Those are badass looking with the Monster truck 4x4 setups

@@ShawnStafford-1978 well actually the big air Bel Air is based on an off road raceer. Most likely they were used in the Baja desert racing back in the day. I guess you haven't seen this on a card. The picture on the card is a picture of this Bel Air racing on a dirt terrain with trees and hills and sand dunes. Back then they build an off road racer out anything that was available and cheep and easy to repair and maintain. And Chevy parts were more available than.Jeep parts and much cheaper too I'd imagine I'm sure it would have been a sight to see back in those days. .
