How many times did you have to do this to get all the footage? It must have been exhausting! I couldn't imagine hauling my tank of a chair in and out of a car so many times!

Do you have any tips on how to get the frame in and out when you aren't as buff as you are? I'm chronically ill with a connective tissue disorder whet had caused multiple TBIs resulting in my paralisys along with bone joint and many other issues and I feel like the only thing keeping me from driving is getting the frame in and out I can lift my 17 lb dog yet I can't left the 14 lb frame. To get an idea I have a TiLite Aero-T with a 15" wide seat, my car is a Ford Focus and I'm 5'1", or at least was before Ostioporosis, 97 lbs. Also, could I ask what state you live in? Just curious because I'm in Ohio and like you have leg braces but all I can do with them is stand. I was told I'm not yet ready for a walker. I feel like I am but find it strange no PT facility in the area wants to work with me and prescribe a walker due to my conditons. I figure what's the worse thats gonna happen if I walk, I break a leg and have to he in a wheelchair ha!

I am sorry to hear about this! The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to practice over and over! Work out to build strength if you can. I will experiment with a few different methods and try to get back to you quickly about getting your chair in the car. As far as the walker goes, I would just go buy yourself one and try it out! Make sure you do it with someone to help you though! And it is absurd that you cannot find a PT to help you! Keep looking! I am located in Georgia by the way.

Wow, lot work to do. Want to know What do you do if raining? My son is in the wheelchair, too. He is 22 years old.
@wheelchairryder72786 жыл бұрын
Ken Still I do it the same way when it rains honestly. There is not a lot you can do about it! I just get soaking wet and deal with it! Maybe take an extra set of clothes.

I have been using a large golf umbrella, I let it rest on the door and the roof of my truck that way I can get in and out mostly dry as I break my chair down or put it back together.
@wheelchairryder72786 жыл бұрын
106Pizzaman1 I do this too if I remember my umbrella! Haha

I see youre in grass and gravel alot, what do you recommend to not get stuck as much? Besides wheelies
@gello85186 жыл бұрын
You really kinda need wheelies to do grass if you're limited arm mobility I'd check out smart drive it has a massive battery capable of 12 miles
