Funnily enough because of my conditions, that exact skateboard accident (going downhill- I flew and skidded right to the bottom and ripped up my left side and back) should have put me in my wheelchair- I was told from age 15 I’d never walk. But with crutches and supports I made it past my 27th birthday a few weeks ago before having to use it full time unless absolutely necessary.

Great video :) I'm still learning how to do a wheelie without going over backwards! Quick question - I noticed the backpack on your chair. How much weight can you put in it before it becomes a tipping risk?

Thank you! Don't worry, you will get it down! And yeah, I always carry a back pack. It might take about 15-20 lbs before I actually start to tip while sitting up. It makes it easier to wheelie though!

You didn't actually tell us how to do a wheelie

I know this is late but you have to find your own gravity centre in your chair. Lean yourself against a wall and take a person to spot with you. Try to lift up your front wheels next and find your point of balance. It took me 5 years to master it but I had a good teacher. ;)
