All the modifications look great. The majority of disabled people would have great difficulty raising the funds. I personally live in a mobile home and need the small bathroom modified. The cost was going to be around $40,000.00. Tried raising the funds. I had all the boxes checked, needed the work to be done, disabled (58 years). All the boxes checked but one, I wasn’t a VET. Crazy! Really enjoyed seeing the modifications, a real dreamy set up.

Wheelchair users, usually means manual chairs which require less room than a power chair, and it depends on the height of the chair user and their ability to manovure.

I am trying to build a tiny house and came up with plans (in my head (was last night)) for a wheelchair accessible tiny house that is portable (on skids and can be transported by truck and hiab, the house could also be put on wheels depending on its weight)), is it possible to put a washer/dryer into a 4 sq m bathroom and still be able to get a wheelchair in and around? also wondering about bed heights (lowest and highest comfortable height possible); I'm not in a wheelchair (I was born 15 weeks prem and have health issues myself, have friends who are in wheelchairs and wanted to build something that others could copy for themselves and so my friends can also visit; I live on waiheke island and am looking for land to build though (will be pallets and 4x4 posts); as an aside i saw a youtube video where a wheelchair user had added a handle near the hinge of a door so that one could pull it to without overreaching from their chair
