I have a 86 4Runner that I solid axle swapped. The RUF method with 63 Chevy springs rear. Huge list of parts…… One of the best mods I did was ditch the factory mirrors. I put on aftermarket power FJ Cruiser mirrors. Made my own wiring with relays and a Camery power mirror switch. Freaking amazing difference in rear visibility!!! Well the mirror is twice the size. I put them in the factory mirror location. And the door lines are like the FJ mirrors were built for it. No sheet metal work. I would send you pics if I knew how to. They are a game changer. I haven’t seen anyone else do that mod.

I love the ranger, inspiration for my own build. Gotta say I'm glad the stock truck didn't get far; beating on stock rigs to get them places they shouldn't go is just mean to them, especially if you don't have the skills to repair the carnage. It's fun to beat on a beater as a kid but that thing looked way too clean to deserve it

Wait, so you guys are like 23? I miss the days when a company called Northwest Offroad had parts for gen 1 trucks. 1980 was awesome. Thanks for the fish comment. I work for Ohio Parks. Oil and water don't mix. Here in the US if you even get caught fouling a waterway...., I've seen $30k fines for *uck around and find out. If you don't have lockers, have you even set up independent rear park brake levers like Bugs used to do?
