Wheels 4 Life - The Film - A Story About Giving (2010)

This film (narrated by John McEnroe) chronicles the impact of bicycles on the people in the Ugweno Valley in Tanzania, Africa. 'Wheels 4 Life' is a non-profit charity founded by mountain biking legend Hans Rey and his wife Carmen, they donate bicycles to people in need of transportation in developing countries.
Documented over a period of one year this film tells the story of how bicycles changed the lives of people in this area. It illustrated how W4L works and shows how you can get involved. School children, healthcare workers or farmers who often have to walk miles can change their lives thanks to the gift of mobility.

Fantastic to watch, to see how much of a difference something as simple as a bike, that most westerners either take for granted or have discarded in favour of the car, can make. It would be interesting to see where these people are now in their lives, and to see how the community has benefitted.
