Im 53, been watching this event since the late 70's and the level of talent even with the expanded field is crazy. Even some of these teams who are leaving 0-2 are competing at higher levels than ever before. Love watching this every year.

LLWS is the only baseball worth watching....the players play hard and can pretty much flip bats and celebrate all they want without the other team feeling or acting "disrespected" they just go out and play. To me they are all winners - and the support from the parents and families is amazing.

@@jrgvsqz MLB world series average 9 mil viewers, just a little over 2x what LLWS championship game gets. That's not good. Especially considering how it used to be over 40 million viewers in the 80s. Which is almost inconceivable because the US has 100 million more people today than the 80s because population growth. MLB just needs to not be so anal and set in their ways because the game sucks today. MLB league batting averages are .230. Only 6 people are hitting over .300 in the MLB. 6 people. That is so boring. Vast majority of people don't watch baseball to see good pitching. It's just not fun. Majority of people watch baseball to see hitting/home runs. It used to be there were 1 or 2 guys on each team hitting over .300. They need to lower the mound and move it back 5 feet. I don't care what this makes diehard MLB fans feel. It's not about them. It's about getting it from 9 million viewers to over 50 million viewers like it used to be. The game is dying. It will continue to die if they stay set in their ways and refuse to adapt.
