The Whelen EPSL1 Epsilon Series 100 Watt Siren provides a wide range of features in a low cost siren that meets SAE Class A sound requirements and is California Title 13 compliant. Epsilon provides hands-free operation, public address, Scan-Lock multiple warning tones and real time diagnostix. The front of unit includes a PA volume control knob for the noise cancelling microphone, an On/Off switch, a manual button and a 7-position tone/radio rotary switch.

Hands-free operation/override from the horn ring.
Scan-Lock switch is "security" located on the rear to ensure all fleet sirens are set with the same tone sequences.

Rotary switch allows choice of standby for use with the manual button, manual tone 1 & 2.
Hands-free position allows horn ring operation of the siren and tone 1, 2 and 3 positions.
Each of these tone positions has an override tone when the manual button is depressed.

Can the Manual button on the face be wired up to a separate button? That way the entire unit can be mounted out of reach and just have one manual momentary button on the dash? I'm sure it voids the warranty, but does anyone have an answer?

@SIRENNET since this siren needs 12.8 volts input, would it drain my stock 12 volt battery? or would i need to add an additional battery to my vehicle?

You'll be fine using your stock battery.

how can I connect the Whelen speaker to the unit? Doest it come with the connector you showed? Which color wires do I attach the speaker wires too? Thanks

The speaker will connect to the Green and Yellow wires on the Epsilon input harness. Yellow goes to the speaker positive wire and Green goes to the negative. We used our own connections, they're not included. You can use butt-connectors, quick-connect terminals or soldier the wires together.

Martin is one of the tones Whelen includes in the BETA112R Amplifier, as well as many of their other siren units. It's more common known as the Euro-tone. If you skip to 5:10, you'll hear it for a few seconds.

there's is this one ambulance company where I live and the must have three or four siren speakers on their vehicles because they always have so many siren tones on at once.

They most likely have the Whelen 295HFSC7, which is a dual tone 200W siren unit.

If you haven't already, check the Ground and Power wires. Perhaps one has come loose. Is it new, or have you been using it for a while?

To be honest, either one will work perfect along with the Epsilon. Our SNSP1 does have Vehicle specific mounts that can be used along with it to ease installation.

+SIRENNET one other question, would the epsilon be able to flush mount to a custom made console made by myself, or would I have to mount it with the bale bracket to the front of the console?
