Glad all of the older Whelens in Montgomery County are filmed now, guessing they must've decided to shorten their tests this summer, as the first two I filmed featured the full tones.

Definitely will miss the full tones... :( 3 minutes of alert and then 3 minutes of attack.

Additional note: the reason for the odd transition in the beginning is because I had to get creative with the video editing. I recorded this in a rush as I was told I couldn't record on the school campus. I was unaware that the football teams had scheduled practice that day given that school was supposed to start on the 8th and the campus showed as closed on Google Maps. To show my respect and not be seen as some creep I talked with the staff about what I was doing. They were nice about it, but since I wasn't volunteering with the EMA in an official capacity they told me not to record on campus. I recorded this from the nearby church with like about a minute to spare. I had to crop the video and tweak it, but it turned out pretty good. This probably worked out better anyway for the reverb. I don't like recording sirens close up. If anyone from the school staff watches this, thanks for being cool about the situation and many kudos to you for ensuring the safety of your students given some of the things we've seen in recent years on campuses around the country.

I'm not far from Pike Road High School. But it is sad to hear that the tests are 45 seconds and not alert and attack both together for 6 minutes. I am wondering if there are broken sirens near where I live I'm not sure if the one on Marler Road works anymore. I know the one at the Fire Station near Exit 16 works since I see it in a different spot after its monthly test. Everytime I listen outside I only hear one or two sirens. I usually hear around 4 sirens. I'm not sure if I can hear the one from Pike Road Highschool :/
