Here is my Whelen X-ecutor siren with the rare controller. Features Bell, Mechanical, Wail, Yelp, Piercer and Airhorn tones. T3 tone can be used with PIERCER, HI-LO or alternating WAIL/YELP combo.

What's the bell ? I'm here because some guy on FB got 2 of them. I was curious about the bell.... seems pointless

When the dial is switched to Bell and the manual button is pressed, it activated a bell tone. I don’t know why Whelen added that feature but it does make it unique. Before sirens, fire trucks did use a bell for warning. I assume Whelen wanted to add that nostalgic sound to the Xecutor sirens since it featured the classic mechanical siren tone.

I love the roll on this one; but I've never seen the control head like that. I have a Whelen 295SL100 that has a nice mech. tone but nothing like this one.

Skip Goulet This is the rare Xecutor controller that most collectors search for. Most people make their own controllers for the Xecutor or Xecutor 2 but I was lucky to find one of them.

Thanks, Chris. I've heard one other Xecutor that Henry455 (Tim) had on here a few years ago and his had a homebrew control head. That's why I was surprised by the factory one you've got. I'd love to find an Xecutor that I could afford. I got my 295SL100 off FB for a whopping $50 a year or so ago. I had an EQ2 on our '92 Type II Ford ambulance several years ago; and while I liked it, it didn't have quite the roll your Xecutor has. There is one of the updated EQs that I've seen here and it rolls almost as well as yours. I wouldn't mind being able to talk you out of your Xecutor, but I won't hold my breath. My SL100 does a nice job, too. Skip
