In the end, the answer is always C5. I've seen plenty of guys in the forums/fb groups move to a C6/C7/C8 and move back to a C5.

@@VetOnVettes A lot of people dont realize the power and speed potential of these german cars. De-tuned from factory for good gas mileage and emissions, but for those that know they can surprise alot of more expensive cars even with a simple tune. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Also, that stg 2 from Unitronic only needs a downpipe to make that power, although other supporting mods are recommended. Can be very quick...

As a C8 owner, I'm a little disappointed, but considering the current used C8 prices, it makes sense and I'm thinking about doing the same as I wait for a GrandSport or maybe E-Ray.

I know what you mean. Looking at price tends & dealer discounts the last month or so I knew I had to strike fast before the C8 equity dried up. The good news is on the other side when buying a new one it will be easy to get and discounted as well. I feel for the guys that spent 20-30k over a few years ago.

I decided to sell my 2024 C8 Stingray(2LT,GT 2 seats.front lift,mag ride). I am not sure what kind of price I will get since it only has 4,700 miles. I recently ordered a 2025 Porsche 718 S which will be the last chance to get a gas powered one because they are going EV.

@VetOnVettes20 сағат бұрын
Oh, I was going to be an early adopter of the Eray but we decided on growing the fam & buying a new house so that took a backseat. Then there was talk of a Grand Sport so that is much more appealing to me. I wish GM would just come out and announce it already. My name will be in that list the next day if and when that is announced. Also, I need to focus on the garage & C5Z for a bit. It's driving me nuts there is still so much to complete on the Z06. 😵💫

@@VetOnVettes Gotcha! Totally understand! I also have a C5Z (and 3 kids) that I have several plans for. My 2004 C5Z (supposed to have the good valve springs) broke one week before Christmas! Fortunately did it at low speed pulling in my driveway so no other damage! Crazy too with only 33k miles on it. Anyway, i have lots of plans, including an A&A blower i think at some point. But my kids are a bit older so expensive lol. I also am a big fan of the Grandsport, so I don't know why they haven't announced it yet! They seem to like to wait and bring it out later after they have the bugs worked out of the other submodels, and inevitably the Grandsport takes over much of the market.

The room yes, also a business decision as I wanted to capitalize on the C8 equity as the stingray variant is starting to tumble quite a bit price wise. But like I stated this gives me time to focus on the C5Z & really think about the next Corvette.

I have noticed no difference in handling. By the time you add brakes, harness and harness bar, seats, exhaust, wheels and tires etc etc. it does not matter. My car handles way better than I would ever drive it on the street. But I will test the limits in a straight line. And it's sick
