Amazing match for Carlitos. Normally, this game would have been an onslaught b/c Carlitos is younger. But it's not the age. It's the tennis I.Q. that makes invincible!

Both kids play great tennis. Fun to watch.

Been following all his matches the past 2 years and he's a breath of fresh air and makes tennis great again. LOL it's always been great but him and Skinner are going to be the new kids on the block. Plus there are some great ones out there.

Carlos' game is almost identical to what he has now, heavy ground strokes, exquisite touch for volleys, insane speed for court coverage; but now he has a much better serve and much more aggressive return of serve

That kickserve wasnt too shabby either though, from both players btw.

Tactics are the same from u12 all the way to goat level. At elite level they’re just implemented with way more speed, strength, flexibility, fitness.

He has great talent in 1 handed back hand, if he has chosen only 1 handed bh, he would have been federer 2.o

I was thinking the same thing. There’s not a shot he can’t make. Even at a young age he had a really good all-around game.

Both players are good but Vives has not made and impact on the ATP tour yet but maybe it will come. Amazing Alcaraz of course so much talent going on.

Its not surprising he did well here, he turned pro at 15. He won his first atp tournament 4 years after this though. Prodigy.

Just checked the ATP player profile …Vives is now 613 on the computer with not a lot of prize money I’m afraid. He’s two years older than Carlitos. All I’ll say is this Carlitos has earned over 31mi$$ion, World no.3 and four GS at age 21! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🇪🇸💰💰💰💰

After Monika Seles no one should be called "genius". At this age, she played professional tournament as an amateur in 1988. The following year, she turned professional, and joined the professional tour full-time, winning her first career title at Houston the very next year, beating Chris Evert in the final. A month later, she reached the semifinals at the French Open, losing to then-world no. 1 Steffi Graf. She finished her first year on the tour ranked world no. 6! That's what genius is!
